Former World No. 1 Simona Halep of Romania absolutely thrashed 23-time Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams of the USA 6-2 6-2 in just over an hour in the final of the 2019 Wimbledon to win the second Grand Slam title of her career and a first on grass.
Simona peaked and played near-fabulous tennis today, hitting just three errors in the entire match, the fewest errors ever in a Slam final, a new record.
Simona had previously won the 2018 Roland-Garros title which was her first Grand Slam title after losing her first three Slam finals.
