Tesla has decided to set up designated retail space inside Home Depot stores across the US to sell its solar panels and Powerwall batteries. This is an effort to reach mainstream customers. These sale space area of 12-by-7-foot displays and on some stores demonstrations of the products will be done.
Home Depot is the home improvement chain having approximately 2,200 stores nationally. Tesla has opted to build its retail spaces at 800 Home Depot locations. Tesla has also planned to offer on-site sales representatives to explain the products to customers. Among the displayed products, Tesla has not listed solar roof for sale, but it can be a part of sales in coming future.

Tesla has already started to roll out stores in Southern California and as next step they are planning to move to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Orlando, Florida. As per the company statement all 800 stores are expected to have the kiosks within the first half of the year.
