The announcement of the arrival of the new generation of Tesla Supercharger V3 charging stations a few months ago now confirmed their installation and availability to the public at two first sites, the Fremont plant and the Hawthorne plant.
From here, the column update will continue to grow in all the different stations, at first, for each top, only a few stations will receive this update: the new V3 technology will provide maximum energy of up to 250 kW for Model Cars 3 and up to 200 kW for the recent Model S and Model X models, a step forward directed at shortening recharge times and offering a safer and more practical service for Model Cars 3.
These Supercharger V3 columns, in relation to the full energy, come with fresh battery management features during the recharge period as well as a smaller but more powerful refueling cable with a framework intended to efficiently dispose of the heat generated by the passage of current to the vehicle.
These V3 columns are currently being manufactured solely at Gigafactory 2 in Buffalo, New York, and new manufacturing lines will quickly be constructed at other Tesla facilities to boost the accessibility and subsequently the spread of these new charging infrastructures.
