ภาพนี้ถ่ายตอนไปเที่ยว Vietnam ปลายปีที่แล้ว ที่สวนดอกไม้ ที่ Da Lat

ดอกดาวเรือง เป็นดอกไม้สีเหลือง ที่มีสีตรงกับวันพระบรมราชสมภพของในหลวง
รัชกาลที่ 9
เปรียบเสมือนพระองค์ท่าน ที่พัฒนาชาติบ้านเมืองให้มีความก้าวหน้า พอเพียง และทรงบำเพ็ญแต่ความดี
ความหมายของดอกดาวเรือง คือ ความรุ่งเรือง เจริญก้าวหน้า และความสว่างไสว และอีกทั้งยังมีการนำไปบูชาสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ตามความเชื่อของแต่ละบุคคลด้วย แต่บางคนเชื่อว่าเป็นต้นไม้มงคล บ้านใดที่ปลูกดาวเรืองจะเป็นศิริมงคลให้แก่บ้านที่ปลูก และยังเชื่ออีกว่าถ้ายิ่งออกดอกเยอะ เงินทองจะไหลมาเทมา
ดาวเรืองมีถิ่นกำเนิดที่เม็กซิโกและสหรัฐอเมริกา ก่อนที่จะขยายไปทั่วโลก และปลูกเป็นพืชเศรษฐกิจในเวลาต่อมา ส่วนการนำดาวเรืองมาปลูกที่ไทยในครั้งนั้น อาจจะเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2510 ที่มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาตร์ แต่ยังมีหลักฐานไม่แน่ชัดว่า นำมาปลูกเมื่อไหร่ที่เมืองไทย
