Thank you for the replies, which were a little overwhelming on first sight. I wrote specifically here about my first visit to Thailand, concentrating on BANGKOK. After flying back home to London prematurely only to return a week later, I avoided the capital city entirely and had a brilliant time in the country. I travelled alone all over Thailand and met some wonderful people, explicitly avoiding the usual tourist traps without ever using the passes I had booked. Thailand is a little like Holland. People think of Amsterdam as being representative of the Dutch way of life, but nothing could be further from the truth. Bangkok in no way represented the Thailand I travelled through for over two months. But the title says it all here--Sexual Exploitation in Bangkok.
