So our journey begins! Koh Lipe - Thailand

 Hello  from sunny Thailand! Me and @the.wildflower just arrived in Koh Lipe and are enjoying our time quite a bit already. It’s simply amazing out here! We’ve got 3 beaches that are easy to access - 1 of them right outside our hotel. We've got the biggest pool on the island right outside our hotel room and another one just by the restaurant with amazing sea view. The walking street is just 3 minutes away and it's full of nice bars, restaurants and shops. We already took advantage of the thai massage they are offering that was done in our hotel room (no need to even leave your bed). That was very much needed after a 15 hour long flight followed by a 7 hour long trip to the island from Bangkok. Today we’re going on a little boat trip for some snorkeling since Koh Lipe is known to have the clearest water amongst the islands and a very rich marine life. After the snorkeling we are heading for a barbeque while waiting for the sunrise. To finish the night we are going swimming with the glowing night plankton which makes the water glow in bright blue in the dark when there is movement. Tomorrow we’ll be discovering the island a bit more on our own.

If you've ever been to Thailand or have seen any photos or clips from here, you'd know these boats are everywhere and they use them for most of the day trips. We had one of these for ourselves with Nat last year in Phi Phi and we're thinking of doing the same this time again to make it more personal and pick where we want to go instead of just following the group.

This is our front pool. It is right next to the hotel restaurant and it is connected to a beach bar with a DJ.
