I've been here in Thailand since December 2007 till now. Many foreigners working here as an teacher. Most of them are not interested learning the Thai language and their reason is, they will not be working here for a long time, but for me, that's a silly reason I've ever heard. Working abroad, you must know their language to comunicate with and it's for your own good. Now, I will share some basic Thai language conversation used in daily life.

คะ ( Ka ) used by women
Hello! - สวัสดีครับ ( Sa wat dee krub )
How are you? - สบายดีไหมครับ ( Sa bai dee mai krub? )
I'm fine, thank you. - ผมสบายดี,ขอบคุณ ( Phom sa bai dee , Khop khun.)
I - ผม (Phom) used by men
I - ฉัน ( Chun ) used by women
Thank you - ขอบคุณ ( Khop khun )
You - คุณ ( Khun )
Where are you going? - คุณกำลังจะไปไหน ( Khun gam lang ja pai nai )
I am going to the market. - ผมกำลังจะไปตลาด ( Phom gam lang ja pai ta lad )
Where - ไหน ( Nai ) second used is ที่ไหน ( Thee Nai )
Going - กำลังจะไป ( Gam lang ja pai )
Market - ตลาด ( Ta lad )
