Daddy's daddy always made Thai Roast Goose, which is the Thai Roast Duck recipe from Keo's Thai Cuisine cookbook, but scaled up for a much larger bird. It's better with goose, but those are hard to find, and turkeys are easy to find. So I helped daddy measure everything for a 14 pound bird. Plus we saved some of the sauce for mommy's fake chicken, because she's a vegetarian.
So that's three generations making the Thai roast ...bird! I was so good at measuring.
Maybe someday we'll raise geese again.
