I can tell you how much I loathe the 2012 Lorax movie, and this short is closer to the book and the VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE! But because of YouTube's nonsense, no one can talk about it anymore.
The 2012 version had a fucking car as a sponsor. A car. Sponsoring the Lorax, which is supposed to be a cautionary tale about greed in general and taking from the environment to gain money, and the Lorax approves of your fucking car.
They turned it into a silly, ridiculous, mind-numbing piece of shit because they don't want the children thinking for themselves or being sad about the open ending of the Lorax being gone. The whole point was for kids to have a reason to get into saving the environment, later doing it because it's important, but in the remake, the kid planted one tree and the Lorax came back. It sickens me.
