At the house of Late Chief Obort.
Jennifer is alone in the house
Jennifer is sitting down on the bed, tears slowly streaming down her cheeks.
She stands up, take a look at Danjo's picture from her bag on the table;
looks at it, touches the face of Danjo's slowly and carefully,
then holds it with both hands and brings it close to her bosom; and begins to sob again.
Slowly, she stands up. goes to another table, looks at
various bottles ond picks one from it Looking furtively at the door
she quickly goes to the window, steals a look or two outside then
opens the bottle top. Her body shakes uncontrollably,. some liquid
content spilled out of the bottle into her hand She closes her eyes.
then takes a sip from the bottle. Just then, the door opens, Danjo's comes in,
seeing Jennifer's eyes closed, he rushes in and snatches
the bottie away from her
Danjo quickly goes outside and brings back a bottle of paim oil
He pushes Jennifer into the chair, forcefully opened her mouth and
peured a generous quantity of palm oil into it, She hiccups and stars
vomiting Danjo goes oüt and comes in with a Medical Doctor
who takes over the core of Jennifer. Danjo stands aside looking
disturbed. Anna returns, seés Danjo and is angry with him.
After a while Danjo leaves, Anna meets her friend,
Catherine, who tells her of Mercy death.
