The Mainland | Communications Division: Taking a tour of The Quadra-SOW plant is surreal when you're holding a 60+ year old napkin of a sketching that outlines what appears to be... something mechanic to my untrained eye; but neatly written up-top are two words, a dash and 3 initials - The Quadra-SOW - and the date that this idea was sketched (over 60 years go) by Dom Sellican, a Citizen of The Mainland, means the fact that this cheap paper lasted so long is a rather cool thing in and of itself, but the fact that this the first sketch of what Mr.Fuji Fuki invested 15 Billion in so that this sketck could become a reality, and told Dom, "If you need 15 Billion more to get it done faster say the word and it's yours" means an idea over half a century in the making has finally come true... and Citizens of The Mainland and all 7 Wards will benefit from it.
What is The Quadra-SOW?
The name itself tells you much about the machine at the heart of this massive plant: The Quadra meansthe 4 and correlates to the first initial in SOW - the 4 "S" which represent= Sun, Sea, Sky, Sand. The "O" represents Oxygen and the "W" represents Wind.
By that definition, The Quadra-SOW is designed to use, generate and produce natural elements which no longer exist, and have not existed for several generations since the end of The Great Desolation.
The plant itself was built at the heart of a 500 acre stretch of land on which 7 separate free standing Q-SOW plants now operate - 1 plant per each of the 7 wards - and an 8th master-plant servicing The Mainland.
Dom never needed the additional funds Mr.Fuji Fuki offered since by connecting with the great and honourable Chairman of the Mainland, Dom had access to the greatest minds, from engineers to architechtects to every type of scientist imaginable; with all that brain-power and an army of builders, the plant was built in a little over a year, and test began immediately thereafter.
For investing in Q-SOW, Mr. Fuji Fuki made just one request: "All Fuji Fuki Citizens deserve to benefit from the natural elements that The Quadra-SOW will produce, so there must be 8 plants built so that we may all - one day - enjoy what was taken away from us years ago."
At exactly 9:23 AM Mainland Standards time, The Quadra-SOW reached 100% work capacity, and for the first time began to generate natural elements.
In the years I've covered Mr.Fuji Fuki, when this was announced the slightest of smiles played across his lips.I n the years that I've been personally assigned to cover this Honorable man, I've seen so much but never have I seen him smile... even if it was so short-lived.
What Now?
Before any synthesized natural elements will be distributed to The Mainland and 7 Wards, they will be released into an underground testing facility where they can be analyzed to ensure quality and safety. No time limit is in place for this final phase but if the pace at witch The Quadra-SOW was built indicated anything it is that the team working on this project will certainly work tirelessly to complete their studies.
Once this final phase has ended, board-members from each ward will choose how, when and where to introduce the elements into their domes.
