Buzău

The city of Buzau boasts one of the few medieval-modern urban architecture complexes in Muntenia, so you can start the route here from Cuza Voda Street. The next stop must be done at the Vorble Volcanoes. Even if it is quite sinuous, the road is in good condition and well signaled, so you will not miss the objectives. From the village of Sătuc you have to turn right, to Berca, to get to Vulcani. The landscape is lunar, forming formations due to gas eruptions that pierce sludge and water. On the main road, in the village of Măgura there is the Outdoor Sculpture Camp, established in 1970. There are still more than 250 stoneworks of 160 sculptors. Across the road, near Monteoru, there is Ciolanu Monastery, the only monastic settlement in Buzau County attested in the 16th century.
