এবার আরেক প্রধান চরিত্র আজিজ।যে প্রতিবন্ধি ,দাসবুতের ছোট ছেলে, সারা গ্রাম ঘুরে বেড়ানোই আজিজের কাজ, তো আস্তে আস্তে ঘনিষ্ঠ সম্মপর্ক হয়ে ওঠে মাস্টারের সাথে আজিজের। সে আজিজকে তার সাথেই রাখে এবং মায়া মমতা ভালোবাসা দিয়ে লেখাপড়া শিখাতে শুরু করে।
এদিকে দাসবুতের আরেক ছেলেকে হত্যার দায়ে চার বছরের জেল দেওয়া হই, এবং দাসবুত কোর্টের সামনে ঈশা নামের একজনের জীবন বাচাই, যে তার জীবন বাচানোর জন্য তার মেয়েকে দাসবুতের ছেলের সাথে বিয়ের কথা বলে, তবে তখন শুধু আজিজের বিয়ে বাকি, দাসবুত বলে আমার ছেলে প্রতিবন্ধি,ঈশা তাও বলে লোক পাঠান ,আমার মেয়ে আপনার বৌমা।
এবার শুরু হই আজিজের জীবন, প্রতিবন্ধি হলেও আজিজের বোউ ছিলো সবচেয়ে সুন্দরি , নাম মিজগিন, মিজগিন তার স্বামি প্রতিবন্ধি হলেও তাকে মেনে নেই, অন্তর থেকে ভালোবাসা দিয়ে আগলে রাখতে লাগে,তবে গ্রামের মানুষ আজিজ এবং মিজগিন কে তিরস্কার করতে লাগে , এতে করে আজিজ একদিন বউ কে নিয়ে গ্রাম ছেড়ে চলে যাই আর একটা চিঠি লিখে রেখে যাই।
মাস্টারের চাকরির বয়স শেষ হই, সে ফিরে যাই, তবে সাত বছর পর আবার মাস্টার সেই গ্রামে আসে তার বউ কে নিয়ে এবং সাথে আনে আজিজ কে, শুধু আজিজ নই সাথে তার বউ এক ছেলে এক মেয়ে ।
আজিজ কে সবাই জিগেস করে সার্জারি করেছিস নাকি?
