The Child and The Society

The child is one of the greatest gift from God. One can think of when a child is born in the family, there is joy and happiness in the family then. He is the parents child only at the tender age but in the real sense he is the child of all in the society. The upbringing of the child should start very early and should not be the responsibility of the particular parents only, but that of the society at large. No one knows where future leaders will come from.
There are factors that contribute to the fast development of the child's education such as family, the peer group,the school, the mass media and the society at large. The child must pass all through this factors at different ages or stages in life. The family is there expected to give the child the proper foundation since its the first place the child found himself when he was helpless.the parent being the greatest educator must combine one with instructions.
Parents should train their child in a way that he should be ready to accept corrections from any angel provided it's the right thing at the right time. Parents should also try to find out the type of company their children is keeping outside the family. If possible select the type of friends they hang around with for them.

It is advised to start early to tell the children your do's and don't ,their implications such as the advantages of keeping good company and the disadvantages of keeping bad company. Parents, the teachers ,church leaders and traditional rulers and whoever is in position to help out to correct the child when he is not right nor matter who own him and where he comes from. Do not fear him. Do not wait for the child to make mistakes because no one knows where the leader would come from in the future.
