HELLO CHARISMATIC…
We have succeeded at upsetting generosity and setting up covetous giving
So, what am I to expect? What's God going to do if I give?!!!!
It has turned the gospel into a casino
Giving to get isn't love, in true giving just like God, the beneficiary can't be the giver, but the receiver
We give to meet others needs is the giving we see and learnt of our Christ
This malady has bruised, battered and mutilated several scriptures in its trail, Luke 6:38 (ignoring context totally), 2 Corinthians 8 & 9 (leaving out the contexts and the meaning of grace), Ephesians 4:28 (admonitions for honest living twisted to focus on "to have and get", Philippians 4:19 (so used that Paul will be shedding tears)
Oh Charismatic Pentecostal, who bewitched us? Can't we just read scriptures without our needs and greed in view?
The moment your needs is why you give, it’s not generosity but a transaction
Shouldn't we take a cue from the Lord Jesus...
John 2:15-16 KJV
[15] And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; [16] And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
And stop all the money changers, including clergy and laity (me and you)

THE BLESSING IS THE ACT OF GIVING NOTHING MORE!
Am charismatic too, once caught in this ignoble practice..., now am saved
