They seem super fun! Unfortunately it is just not enough for more than one student to use at a time. I put them aside until I can purchase a second set. For the price I wish there were more. Seem to be made well. I personally would not use them for teething but maybe they could be used for that. I did not read specifics carefully before purchasing for my classroom. Much bigger than I expected so to really build, you would need at least 2 starter sets, especially for an older child.

My son (1) absolutely loves to play with squigz! It is by far the #1 most played with toy in our house. His favorite are the green ones and picks those out. I pull out a large baking sheet for him to suction them to. It’s been awesome to watch him learn how to stick them together and working on his hand eye coordination.

I bought this for our son, as a compliment to some of the hand grip strength targets we've been working on with him. He has global developmental delays, and his fine motor is one of the hardest hit areas. My perspective on these is that I actually prefer thera putty for overall hand strength building. The suction cups on these don't stick well to surfaces that have certain wood lacquers on them. Also, some of them don't stick well to the smooth hard plastic on my son's therapy top spinner. Some of the suction cups came chipped.I do like that the different shapes have to be gripped differently to pull them off, but for some of them, like the red ones, they don't stick well to most surfaces. You can stick them together and have kiddos pull them apart, which is nice, but again there are some suction cup issues. My daughter has played with them some too and thinks they are very fun (she's 10), but didn't like that some of the suction cups came "chipped" as she put it. My son will pull them off when asked, but I'm honestly spending more time with him doing things like pulling off parts of orange peels I've pulled up a little because he sees more the real world application on that. I think this is nice to add some variety, but because each of the squigz require the same amount of force to remove, I still like the thera putty best for hand strength because you can start at an easier level if your kiddo needs that and can progress up.

The toys are cute. BUT, they are VERY small/ little in overall size...Much Smaller than the picture leads you to believe. I am Kinda disappointed actually.

I bought this as a gift for my son’s first birthday since he’s into putting things in containers and is starting to learn stacking. He loves to play with them. We even throw the rings in the tub for bathtime and they are great. I also love that there are two toys with the purchase. This could easily be a gift for any baby sitting up.

Great classic toys. I gave it four stars only because of its name: "First" Blocks. Our baby is now five months and is started to becoming very interested in toys, and while she has taken a definite shining to many of her toys, her interest in these took a while. This is most likely due to the size of the pieces. She is only now able to put the rings in her mouth (what she does with all of her toys), and the blocks are still a bit hard for her to handle. That being said, the colors are great, as is the rattle in the smallest red ring. With time I think she will use these all the time and love them, but I'd recommend a different product if you're looking for a child's first toys.

I bought these for my 23 month old. She already knows her colors and shapes, so this was not educational for her in that way (but could be useful for a child who is learning those concepts). I was hoping it would be a good introduction to pattern blocks, since I figured she is a bit young for a full set of traditional small ones. However, this set includes cirles and ovals, which simply can not work like traditional pattern blocks, and the triangles are not equilateral. Therefore, we can't do much independent patterning with these. So, as an alternative to wooden knob puzzles, these are a good puzzle. But they are not pattern blocks at all.

Each of my kids had this set when they were young (perhaps age 2-4?) I remember them really, REALLY liking the colors, designs, pieces, etc. Sometimes they built the "puzzles" and other times they just used the shapes, but either way, these got used, and used, over and over. I still have our sets in a bin of "baby" toys in the closet - toys that I deemed too good to get rid of. I just ordered this set for my niece who just turned two. I'm hoping she enjoys it as much as my kids did.

This toy is fine, but isn't super exciting. Once our son learned to put in the shapes in the right spots, there are not a lot of innovative ways to repurpose this toy. He was able to manage that within 1 week, at the age of 20 months. This might be better geared towards a younger child, around age 1. After that, I imagine most children will fit the shapes in 1-2 times, and then find the toy unengaging.

this toy is WONDERFUL! the colors are great! i'm a nanny, and i gave this and another "stacking" toy (boxiki train) to my "charge" just for fun & developmental purposes. he's 18 mo old and waaaay into stacking things these days! the train was a FAIL (see review); but he immediately took to this! for him, at this age, the colors & shapes are unimportant--just the fact that he can successfully "stack" things on the 3 different pegs is what thrills him! he spent a solid 45" stacking & unstacking, then carrying it around to show me his "handiwork." he felt clever & successful as he slid the shapes on & off the pegs, placing different shapes in a random pattern, just stacking away! a lot of fun!1/17/19: Update…the pegs on this toy have come off NUMEROUS times. i finally bought the family a bottle of super glue to keep since we're fixing it what seems like every other week! grrrr!

My 18 month old daughter loves these! Easy to pick up and to stack. Only complaint is that several of the blocks were sticking to each other when opening the package and I had to pry them apart. Because of this, most blocks have paint that transferred to their neighboring one. Though it doesn't affect the integrity of the blocks, and my toddler couldn't care less, but it was something I noticed. Paint may not have been dried before stacking them upon production, or the blocks were stored somewhere a little too hot prior to delivery to me.

We bought this for my one year old’s birthday and it is definitely too advanced for him. However, I like that he can grow into it and the quality feels great. He like to pull off the top pieces and carry them around. My big kids (5 and 7) even enjoyed playing with the hardest puzzle of the three.I plan on only leaving on one stack at a time as he advances through them until he eventually can tell the difference between all three. It’s just too many pieces for me to keep picking up 10 times a day.

Cute and well made but it's not quite deep enough... So, when our toddler has it sitting on his lap in the car and pushes the shapes in their spots, there's no clearance for them to "fall down".. They just sort of rest in their space which frustrates him.

My 6 month old loves it- pieces are a good size for her to hold and still put in her mouth. She even manages to flip it over and play with the paper flaps on the opposite side of the shape holes. Washed up great when washed by hand. Great for taking along to grandmas.

Love this! Especially the crinkle backside with flaps. Only downside is sometimes shapes will fall out even when it's zipped up. By far my favorite shape sorter though.

I didnt get those colors in my set. One of the factors was the marker shades so im a but disappointed.

Cute, but doesn't come off very well

My daughter is obsessed with these things. The hamster is adorable! I wish they didn't stain as bad as they do. I've even tried soaking them for a few hours, but some of the colors just never quite come out.

They're fun to play with, but just like regular paint you need to measure them out in little containers. If you decide to give them to the child they might just squeeze and splooge the whole tube all over the bath, wasting the product unnecessarily. That little PSA considered, it's a great way to make bathtime fun.

My daughter LOVES these. I don't mind them so much. They aren't as messy then everything else for kids these days. But I am pretty sure that's only because she can make a mess in the bath & get cleaned all at once.

My 2 year old LOVES these. And best for me is that (unlike the draw able crayons) these do not stain our white bathtub!

I love this little set! I bought this for myself for $3 at a Fred Meyer. I was a little disappointed when I realized how few pages there were, but it’s honestly really cool. I have no regrets. I might actually go buy it again!

Works great! Granddaughter really likes it!

I wish there were more of these! The pictures are so lifelike....the grandkids loved them!
