There are good posts on so many different topics in so many languages.
How can we possibly find them all?
We can't, but you can...
SteemCurator For A Day
With @steemcurator01 now having 10 million SP and @steemcurator02 4 million SP, as The Diary Game draws to a close we are looking to spread the voting power to a wider range of Steemians producing a wider range of content.
But we can't read all posts, so we have come up with a new idea to recruit new SteemCurators every day to help.
This is the plan...
A Different Subject Each Day of the Week
To get this curation project started we have selected these subject areas for the different days of the week...
Monday - Health & Medicine
Tuesday - Technology & Science
Wednesday - Art & Craft
Thursday - Photography
Friday - Finance & Crypto
Saturday - Sport & Fitness
Sunday - Food & Cooking
Does this look like a good subject split?
Are we covering all the major content areas?
Any that should be dropped and swapped for something else?
We have left out music as @musicforsteem covers the performance side of that.
Current Affairs & Politics and Religion & Spirituality are two other possible areas.
A Different Curator Every Day
Under this new 'SteemCurator For A Day' program we will invite everyone interested to volunteer to join the Curator roster for their chosen subject.
We will then select a Curator for each day.
On their chosen day the Curator will be tasked with going out and finding the five best current posts in their subject area and presenting them in a digest post at the end of the day with brief reasons for each selection.
The chosen posts should be the best examples of current content in that subject that shows off the content quality on Steem.
For each of the five selected posts @steemcurator01 will give a 25% upvote (currently about $50).
The Curator for the Day will also get a 25% upvote.
We will reserve the right not to vote on any of the posts if there is any indication of abuse or obvious favoritism, or if they have used bid-bots or delegated voting services.
This is an experiment !
If people think this will work and is a good idea we can begin this straightaway as it won't detract much from the Diary Game curation.
The voting amounts and the number of selected posts may need tweaking. What do you think?
And we will have to carefully consider how we select the Curators each day.
Certainly visibility and engagement on the platform may be a big factor so make sure you are commenting - particularly on posts in your chosen subject area !
We may also call upon the Country Representatives to help with recommendations.

With this subjects more fields will be covered. But what I am concerned about that people will be jumping producing post each day for each topic in order to be chosen. The users who really concentrate themselves on one topic will be for the rest of the week having no support.
In my opinion, now having such big delegation like 10 Mio for @steemcurator01 and 4 Mio for @steemcurator02 you should not only wait for others like selected curators present for reward 5 people from the whole week as the subjects are only for once a week. But I think those two accounts need actively looking around and peaking those bloggers who are posting original content and dedicated to Steem and reward them for being loyal to Steem.
Some of those users are bloggers and will nto take part in any contests, competitions, or specially create posts about such subjects. I know many who are busy with book editing and simply blogging between tehir work. I know another who is caring after her son but brilliat in cooking recipes but have no time for daily diary. I know some others who desperately trying to keep their community running with their little in compare to Steemit Team SP.
I think you should think about those users too!

It's an interesting proposal friend @steemitblog, for sure this will generate more awareness of what is the role of a curator, the strategy to apply, the reading and analysis of each publication, the sincerity to select the best publications, etc. It is a very beautiful function in the platform but it requires a lot of time, I join from Monday to generate refuels of selected by each branch.
For my part I see convenient to apply the following strategy, which I made known during the mid-season break,:
The representatives' accounts can be taken as "Trail", being the @steemcurator01 account the one that follows these generated trail, the representatives will be in charge of giving votes taking into consideration the voting power of @steemcurator01 and under observation of the leaders, each one of the representatives must create a report about the supports made, this way the scope of the support of @steemcurator will be completely extended to several simultaneous work fronts. With this strategy we would cover more publications and users in #TheDiaryGame every day.

This is a great idea, i am great fan of scientific writeups and was a good member of the previously steemstem community and has been wondering when we would actually something of that sort here so when i saw that Monday would be dedicated to health and medicine i was pretty much excited. As a student health practitioner who would be graduating soon, it would be fun as well as a learning platform for me to be involved in this. In a word, this venture is great. I am a candidate to be a curator for the Food and Cooking Category for Sunday. Most of the Steem users that are active now participate in the #thediarygame event. When I read the diary game diaries I think many people have different abilities and would like to publish on these topics. In order to see that curation is easier and selectable, I recommend creating a custom label for each category. For example, the posts that will be published for Food and Cooking; I recommend sharing it with #steemfoods hashtag. This way, people who are interested in food and cooking can see the posts more easily. At the same time, if this initiative has a good audience, it can create "Communities". For example
Like "SteemFoods Community". We can edit their tags in other communities. Another example is SteemSports', like SteemArts. As we start to generate income over time and with the talents of people + an extra good interaction system, we will be a Steemit candidate for being the best Social Media

Now the contest discovery will go wide and diverse.
Politics could feel contentious, but trust me it has the potential to drive the much-needed engagement.
Twitter has become new digital political landscape where the engagement is deep, intense, real-time, also in an auto-pilot mode.
Science &Technology itself is very vast, does it cover all the topics of STEM or crypto, blockchain only? If all, it would be tricky on the part of curator as a curator may not be well versed in all the branches of STEM.
That said, I welcome this idea, it would really strengthen the content discovery and PoB.
And those who complain that Steemit is only limited to diary game or similar thing now can showcase their skill, talent.
This announcement heralds a new beginning of Steem Blockchain.

A small suggestion for selected Curators is that, I think they should be at least aware of the content etiquette, basic markdown skills and plagiarism. Also, they should educate good authors to follow the same if they find issues with their posts.

Good afternoon, maybe you are no longer waiting for answers about this publication due to the time that the post already has but I found the proposal super interesting and I would like to give my opinion ... Answering your questions:
1)Does it seem like a good division of topics?
I think the way in which the topics were divided is excellent, since, in this way, most of the publications generated on the platform would be covered, which would be a good incentive for those who live here.
2)Are we covering all the main content areas?
According to the information that I have been able to read throughout my stay on the platform, if the most common topics are covered, also in my humble opinion on some of those days that they establish, I would summarize: humanitarian aid, since, I have seen accounts dedicated to helping, building houses, giving food to the homeless, supporting the elderly, among others. Valuing all of these posts contributes to more people doing them and somehow creates a chain of benefit for those who need it anywhere in the world.
3)Any that should be discarded and exchanged for something else?
I suggest adding a topic dedicated to humanitarian aid, for all that I explained in the previous question. I really consider that many need that great help and what better way to encourage them from this platform.
4)Anyone interested in being a curator for a day?
Of course, I am ready to support the platform in any way possible. I volunteer to help with health and medicine Monday, I have a 7-year career in the health area, I am currently about to finish my internships and opt for the title of Surgeon in my country.

I think i will be able to fit into handling daily curation of Finance & Crypto, Sports and Fitness. Powerful and creative idea to get more hands in this search for quality. The topics chosen are really broad enough and covered. Although I would have loved a category that covers learning. Maybe we can call it Explore/Discover. We can feature rare and uncommon knowledge about places, people, animals and things. This will serve as a database of knowledge. I also think maybe "Local Fashion" or "Fashion World" This category is also educational in nature. People should feature fashion native to their area and what they are used for. For example fashion for special occasions like annivarsries, weddings, etc.

It's obviously a great idea. There are some quality content makers, whose spending a lot of time making their content much better but somehow they don't get the attention.
Moreover, It's not possible to see all the contents by @steemitblog team. As I see they are working 24 hours.
I think the category you have chosen all of them are more creative and knowledgeable. Recruiting day curators will help a lot finding those quality content maker and also encourage them with their activity.

I think it's a great idea to bring in topics for each day of the week. Many of us are focused solely on the diary game and are not writing any other posts during the course of the day.
I also think the curator per day will give everyone a fair shot for quality posts to stand a chance of getting that 25% upvote from the steemcurator01.
However, I would like to suggest the rotation of topics i.e it shouldn't be limited to the topics above as some of us would like the inclusion of poetry/spoken word as well.

I think it's going to be great, not only huge amounts of content will be created, but also the quality of it will be a matter of issue as well.
I volunteer to help with Sports since it's been something that has always been part of my life and i've practiced several of them, so I'd also find it pretty interesting to learn more about this world and what others can teach you about their favourite sport.
Also, I could help with food. I love cooking and baking, I'm always looking for new recipes and trying really hard to improve and polish the ones that I already know that work. It'd be really nice to also get to learn more about local cuisines! :)

Not that we have much of those things here now, but it could be a good way to cultivate them.
I definitely think this is a great idea, but since science & technology is not on a week-end, I probably wouldn't find time to volunteer to participate. C'est la vie.
On another note, can I suggest a widely-distributed weekly, monthly, or quarterly report to communicate the value that you are distributing to authors and other curators with these programs? It could be cross-posted on Medium, shared on other social media venues, and e-mailed out to your "look what's on steem" e-mail list.
Based on the numbers above, this program, alone, will direct about $1,050 (~6,000 STEEM) per week to authors. That could generate a whole lot of "good will" for Steemit if anyone outside the blockchain knew about it. It could also showcase the potential for other investors to earn revenue by supporting content creators - something that's not possible with traditional patronage arrangements.

Primeramente creo que es de suma importancia que en las publicaciones se utilicen las etiquetas adecuadas para encontrar los articulos a curar, tal vez el experimento deberia considerar que cada curador haga una lista para tener idea de cuantas publicaciones por tema se presentan y asi ver si una sola persona las abarca todas en un dia en todos los idiomas, o si tambien se pudieran dividir los curadores por idioma o pais, continente.
Los temas de reflexiones, autoayuda, motivacion en que categoria entrarian?
El cine y reseña de libros entraria en arte?
Asi como se hizo para el juego del diario determinando cuantos participantes por pais habian, es clave determinar los temas de mayor interes en la plataforma, asi como el numero aproximado de sus publicaciones.
Usted como curador sabe cuantas publicaciones se pueden leer en un dia, sin perder la objetividad por el cansancio.
La idea me parece genial pues muestra el interes por todos los grupos en la plataforma, ademas de involucrar a todos en su proceso, pues la idea es participar, compartir, interactuar, apoyar, crecer.
Voy a hacer el experimento para luego opinar mas objetivamente jajaja.

This is a great idea. However, instead of having a designated "curator," I think it would be good to have a system which allows Steemians at large to nominate the best posts for curations.
This could be done in the comment section or with an external web site. In the external site idea has a person logging in: They would paste a link to the post.
The external site idea has an SEO benefit for SteemIt as it would link to the award winning posts each week.
The comment section idea is probably easier. You could ask users to put a string in a comment such as: #steemcurate-tech which will nominate the post for the tech award.
A bot would examine all comments and pull out those containing the curation request. This will give SteemIt a greatly reduced list of nominees for each subject.
The internal comment option is probably easier to implement. i think an external page would benefit the program as it has an SEO benefit and can demonstrate that the curators are being honest in their curation.

It is great idea, I think it will help lot of people. I can give my 100% to them who deserve it. I like the Art, Craft, Photography, and Writing most, so I will read and check them all with my 100. And I will give reward all of those who deserves. I will find their contents, with using # for all of these categories. It means I will check random posts, and I like very much to check and read the posts on my favorite topics. That mean, I can do it for a day, or for a once.
