Hello everyone! Yesterday was not a super busy day, but I did get some stuff done. I have really enjoyed writing these entries, and have also enjoyed seeing the other participants' entries. This game is definitely one of the best experiences I have had here on Steem. I will now describe my boring life in subpar detail:
My Life
Before even talking about waking up, I have to discuss the struggle that occurred when trying to go to bed. I lay awake for several hours, and did not actually manage to fall asleep until 4:30am. I then woke up naturally at 9:00am. Don't ask me why my body is the way it is. It's just as confusing for me.
At first when I woke up, I had a pretty substantial headache (probably from not getting enough sleep), but it resided within an hour. The first thing I did was text my beautiful girlfriend Emma (@esouthern3) about getting the Music for Steem video. The file she'd sent had not processed, and the audio was not in sync with the video. I spent a while waiting for her to send the video. I could not write the diary entry until I had it because I wanted to include it since we hadn't gotten a selfie (my fault. I should have remembered). During the time that I waited, I read through some Steem Greet articles. The amount of new users, and achievement articles is definitely increasing. If you are interested in curating new users' content, I would highly recommend you take a look at some of the content in the Steem Greet community! There are over 700 dollars in rewards pending in that community, and I have been really excited by all of the growth I have seen from new users through the community!
Around 11am, Emma sent the video via google photos, and the problem was solved. However the video could not be downloaded until it processed. I wrote the whole diary entry, and hoped that the video would be done by the time I was done. It wasn't so I posted without the video (figured I would add when it finished processing). I then took a shower while I waited for it to process.
After the shower, I began to work on the Music for Steem article. I got side tracked though. I had recommended a documentary about Beethoven to @jmor, and I decided to watch some of it. I lost track of time, and before I knew it it was 2pm. The documentary is cool because it includes a portrayal of Beethoven's life. Here's a link to the documentary. Here is my favorite scene from the documentary:
If you have time and interest, I would recommend you watch all 3 parts of that documentary.
At 2pm, Emma and I played minecraft together. We played bed wars. Let me just say, it is so much easier during the day. I don't know why, but all of the good people (and hackers) seem to come out around 10pm or 11pm. We won several games, and played until about 3:40pm. At that point, Emma had to go, and I realized I had to finish the Music for Steem article. I finished that around 4:00pm. After finishing that, I finished watching the second part of the Beethoven documentary.
At 5:00pm, I began to work on the article for achievement 5, but did not manage to finish. Around 6pm, I decided to take another shower, and after the shower watched some YouTube videos. Notably I watched this one which is a lecture by Jordan Peterson about psychopaths:
Around 7:30pm, I decided to break out a book of folk songs I was given by a kind gentlemen in the Chester County Choral Society (a local choir that I sung in until the pandemic). It is a really cool book of "Fireside folk music". The thumbnail is a selfie I got with the book. Here is a picture of one of the folk songs that my dad knew and asked me to play through:
At first I thought this is a love song about a woman named Matilda. Upon googling it, my father and I learned that it is a ghost story about a man who kills himself in a body of water after he steals a sheep, and the landlord and police confront him. Often times we forget that even traditional music can have dark (and edgy stories). Here's a recording of Waltzing Matilda (with an explanation of the terms at the beginning):
We looked through all of the songs in the index to see which ones my dad recognizes. Emma and I may do some for fun!
After doing that, we had dinner around 9pm. We had porkchops and mac and cheese (lactose free) that my amazing mother cooked for us. It was really good!
After dinner, we were going to watch something, but my stomach was offset by Apple Cider. I am sad to say that I may not be able to digest that either :( So I decided to not watch something since I was unable to stay seated for a long period of time due to personal reasons.
I watched Youtube videos while staying on the move for about an hour, and the thing passed. At 10:30pm, Emma and I talked, and we played the word game. I won twice! She won like 8 times, but that is besides the point. Hopefully she got a screenshot for her post because here, in my entry, I am the only victor who gets a screenshot:
We went to bed around midnight. I had an easier time of falling asleep last night!
I will have to watch the rest of that Beethoven documentary this week when I work out. The thing I loved most about the scene was (besides how Beethoven completely showed up that dude) that the women were going crazy for him. He must have been the rock/pop star of his time. My stomach sucks too man. Let's just say having Chipotle for lunch today was a bad idea. Glad you were feeling better later.
