I would like to submit an application to join The Alliance.
In the past four weeks every now and then I have seen the Alliance been mentioned on tags and various posts, but yet I have never heard it being sang from the rooftops but why??
I could not help it curiosity caused me to research it more and more, like being drawn down a rabbit hole, or maybe it is my opportunity to choose whether I choose to take the blue pill or the red pill. (Guessing I am not the first one to use this analogy.)
Where did you hear about the Alliance?
It was not so much as heard but more seen, as I say above seeing some fantastic posts in the past few weeks which had the tag #thealliance, particularly from @c0ff33a.
I really enjoy reading his blog/vlogs, you can see the amount of detail that have gone into them.
His first blog post I read was c0ff33 vlog 26th January 2018 I can't get no sleep. I had not long been back on the steemit platform and wanted to treat it just like I had just joined in January and not in June of last year.
I was very interested in the content and all the love that he had to share for other people and all the love that other people had to share for him. Including what he was learning on the platform and things that were share such as portraits of him from other members of the alliance.
Why do you want to be here.
Since going full time on Steemit, I have increased my circle of friendships which have come in abundance. I learned that the way to succeed and carry on succeeding in through the power of Networking, and what you can do for the platform.
When I first came back I was unsure what I could actually contribute, I knew that I could curate posts, but ultimately I wanted to be able to post information also. I want to be able to support and help people with their projects, whilst sharing ideas and seeking support for my own projects.
The past 30 days have been very interesting, i have actually written a post about my first month of being full time on the platform, should you choose to you can read about it here.
I am actually pretty proud of the post I had written, because I was able to show what I had learned in a month not only from a writing perspective, but also things like Markdown, Networking, Curation etc.
So a large part of my application to join the Alliance is to learn, after speaking to a few people I realised that learning will take up a large part of my Steemit journey. As an example I learned that in the VOTU community, they have very deep discussions about subjects such as philosophy, anarchy and realism. Subjects which I was unfamiliar with and by observing and listening I feel like I am growing and eventually can use this information in the power of my posts.
What qualities do you have that would make you a valued member of the family.
My biggest quality would be putting others before myself, as an example I come under the heading nominator in the rambles for pypt Thursday's group run by @shadowspub.
Doing steemit for selfish reasons really does not help the platform grow, my philosophy is that I don't measure my success by how successful I am, but by how successful I can make others.
Could that be a leap of faith?? Maybe, but the facts speak for themselves that in a short space of time, by being considerate and caring which are other values I hold, in return I receive a large amount of support from a close network.
I would also say that I am honest, but that I know the difference between negative feedback and constructive criticism. Negative feedback only leaves people feeling sad and unable to progress. Constructive criticism shows them the negative and how to turn it into a positive.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my submission and I look forward to hearing back from you in the future.
