Absolute SUCCESS!!!
I'm not going to lie, I was a nervous wrecked freight train before this event got underway. A lot of things did not go as planned and maybe that was the thing - not enough time to plan? Though, one would think 7 months is ample time to get things situated. There were also many concerns with things going well and everyone having a good time. Some people backed out of the equation, some people had things happen beyond circumstance that forced their hand and we had some new faces that weren't even on the docket show up! All beautiful ones, which made the experience one that will be taken on to next year with a fervent enthusiasm.

A huge thank you to everyone that showed up to partake in the festivities. It was bumpy because several of the things we had planned, did not happen. However, we did have our presentations and interactions with the ones that were able to make it. I'll highlight those further on as now, I want to honor and thank everyone that made this possible:
- @enginewitty - (currently ranked #87 on Steemian.info and head of The Alliance) for getting this all set up and actually making it happen.
- @adsactly - ADSactly has been a supporter of The Alliance almost since its inception. One could say that @adsactly is @thealliance and @thealliance is @adsactly. They were the main reason (financially) that all of this happened. They run a witness (currently #53) and have been helping to secure the chain for ages. They were ultimately able to have a few representatives attend digitally and we appreciate that. Stop in to their discord sometime and say hello!
- @ssg-community - #steemsilvergold 'pirates' and The Alliance family have always meshed well together and there is a strong crossover of members from each community. Even though @raybrockman was unable to attend (and we're glad your father is ok), we were still able to go through with the #monsterraffle and cheer on the winners!
- @crowdwitness - @svemirac has been quietly assisting us to help with exposure. They are also a witness (currently #80). Stop in and see what the @crowdmind is up to!
- @spl - After speaking with @bethalea, she was all about having some representation for Lucksacks and the Steem Poker League. We did not have the tournament we talked about, but we do thank you for your contributions and you were there in spirit :)
- @freewritehouse - @mariannewest committed to helping sponsor and come up with a few fun activities for people. We thank you for your kindness and generosity! It was also a blast with the live #freewrite we did, (more on that shortly)!
- @oracle-d - Though unable to actually attend, @starkerz agreed to help out in various other ways and be a sponsor of this event, so we thank him heavily. Did you know they were a witness too? (currently #57) They help so many people, maybe stop in with your extra vote?
- @guiltyparties - Good guy here sent on some gear for us! Thank you! He is also a witness (currently #55), representing multiple communities including the veterans and @ssg-community here. Very happy to see this long-time blockchain enthusiast offer what he could to assist in our endeavor. Thank you, really.
- @nainaztengra - She has been a long time supporter of #thealliance and we are happy to call her smiling self 'family'. Thank you sweetheart! We really appreciate your contribution!
- @thecryptodrive - He has given a healthy donation to the cause! Thank you sir! He is a stellar witness (currently ranked #13!). Be on the lookout for DLease and the exciting things they will be bringing to the table to help out Steempeeps!
- @josephsavage - On behalf of @steembasicincome, he is supporting us with 100 SBI bonus units (for @thealliance) and 2 bonus units for everyone that attends, and then 5% bonus units on all enrollments from our attendee list that sponsor units in the first 30 days after the event. How sweet is that!
- @brisby - Such a sweet soul on this lady! She has given some of her hard earned STEEM to help further the cause and we are ever as grateful to you as we are any donations received to make this happen for everyone! Thank you Briz!

What Did We Do???
Heard a rumor that the reason some people didn't attend was because it was going to be nothing but a drunken mess. Did we drink? Well, ya! But that was not the focus of the event. I have to reiterate that this was an actual event and I can promise you - the people that came understand just what #thealliance really is. Was there a strict schedule or itinerary? No, we felt it was not necessary and reduced the stress. Did we have things planned? Definitely. So, here's how it ultimately went down:
Thursday
- We all started to arrive and we greeted one another. We snacked and introduced ourselves and got on with some serious partying!
Friday
- We had breakfast and went live on 'Words With Witty' in The Ramble with @shadowspub and several others.
- @ecoinstant digitally pulled @josephsavage in for a great presentation on @steembasicincome.
- @mariannewest led us in some 'laughter yoga' and we all had a blast doing a 3 prompt #freewrite with the royalty from @freewritehouse.
- @jayna got down in the kitchen helping everyone make their own pizzas!
Saturday
- We had breakfast and @enginewitty and @dreemsteem went to tickle the Blackjack dealers.
- @dreemsteem led us in a fun activity to show us exactly what @spunkeemonkee is all about.
- @prettynicevideo gave a training session on the 'Vlogit' app for us.
- @enginewitty explained after manning the grill, what @thealliance really is.
- @snook led us in a super fun, live 'Pants Are Optional' exercise that topped the evening off.
Sunday
- We all ate breakfast and started packing for home.
- Many hugs and a few tears as we said our good-byes and all agreed -

Again, Thank You
It was an absolute blast and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that the bonds we made are strong ones. There is something to be said about meeting someone online and then actually greeting them physically. THAT is what being a community is all about. Communication. One can only relay so much information and connotation in a text, a radio show or even a live stream. With no glass between to mask anything, you see just how real a person is and can look directly into those windows to their souls. We are definitely looking forward to next year and stay tuned as we already have things set in motion to make it happen. Until next time my peoples - REMEMBER TO BE YOU!!

It was truly one of the best meetups I have ever attended. Everyone there contributed something special! I learned a ton and had so much fun, had wonderful conversations, ate great food, and laughed until it hurt. All the info sessions were so informative, and @snook's "pants are optional" show on the last night was so hilarious and memorable. Thank you to everyone who made the event possible! (And yes I will be posting a picture of @enginewitty kissing a donkey!)

IT JUST KEEPS BRINGING A SMILE TO MY FACE BECAUSE IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND. AND I HAD THREE CIDERS ON FRIDAY NIGHT BUT THE REST OF THE WEEKEND WAS FOCUSING ON EVERYTHING THAT WAS THERE TO ENJOY. IVE STRUGGLED READING, STILL DO; BUT THE FREE WRITES, ARE JUST RIGHT! LOL . DREAM-STEAM(SPUNKEEMONKEY) JUST WAIT FOR THAT VIDEO. OMG. LOL. IT WAS A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE THAT FELT SO COMFORTABLE. I had an absolute blast, and I am SSOOOOO glad I finally made it!
My husband was asking me after the fact if it was all worth it, but shoulder and all, and yes indeed it was . . . I wouldn't have missed a moment of it all.
