DITCH your neighbors, get New ones

60% - 80% of Americans have never met their neighbors!
For someone like me that is a ghastly number. I didn't used to be like that in my days of being bitter and mean I didn't speak to any of my neighbors and I didn't like it when they spoke to me. That has since changed and now I'm so interested in and love talking to my neighbors! And I am apparentlyin the minority. ()

But that doesn't have to be the case we can now change that around. Now in the days of the internet and apps on our phone, we don't have to settle for the neighbors that live next to us.

7 years ago Nextdoor.com was established backed by several Silicon Valley investors amd eveolved from another connection site called Epinions.com Nextdoor1.png

It is a safe and secure private website where neighbors can go to practically talk about anything. From a lost dog to a pair of found keys to a lost memory card to handyman services, to things to do for a night on the town, to kids stuff. You just connect with your neighbors about anything. I really enjoy this app so much, I have received solid business referrals, connected with several people, and have arranged a few play dates with my daughter and some local kids.

Nextdoor.com has even helped police get the word out about break-ins and any crime that has happened that people should be on the lookout for, and has even helped find missing people! Here's a great article from Lexington Kentucky.

If you are not nextdoor.com you are truly missing out. It's safe it's secure you really have nothing to lose. You can find a handyman post your own Services, ask a question and just interact with your neighbors on a different level. And one of the best features is that they don't live next to you, so you can broaden your horizons by meeting people outside of your circle.

If you are still not convinced, which is not what I'm here to do anyway(😉). Here is one last piece of info straight from Nextdoor.com About Us section.

Well I'll be a monkey's nephew. Thought I was gonna say uncle, didn't ya! Lol

I sure did

The best thing I did was ditch my awful neighbours 3 years ago, because I moved and keep a good distance from the new ones. No drama! It's nice.

Noms...
