The Beast #1 : Memories ...

in thebeast •  6 years ago  (edited)

And then, I suddenly see a challenge passing by. Called "The Beast". But what does it mean? After reading for a while I saw that it could be interesting ... and after even longer reading, and thinking, it started to itch. I like a challenge, so I decided to take part in this challenge ...

From Saturday 4 May to Friday 31 May ... 28 posts. And 1200 comments ... Oops. I must be crazy to start this. Anyway, whoever says A must also say B. So keep in mind that you will see me everywhere in the near future.

Well, enough nonsense told. Let me start by telling a serious story about the attached photo.

The Challenge: The Beast ... well, as a photographer who has an absolute preference for animals, I always have a photo of a 'beast' in stock.

My absolute sweet Beast Rowan

This post therefore starts with my absolutely sweet Beast Rowan. A photo I made in 2012. And a photo that reminds me of a fantastic holiday. Also my last vacation now ... But that's another story.

A vacation with 9 dogs!

This vacation was with my sister, and a good friend with her son ... and 9 dogs !!! to a holiday home in Germany. With two cars, four people, 9 dogs and a trailer full of luggage. A trailer full? Yes a trailer full, because with so many dogs, who all had to live in that one holiday home for 1 week you need benches. And for the dogs that we had, they were all big benches.

Just a short summary of the dogs we had with us.

Rowan: German Shepherd
Myla: Malinois
Micky: small cross Kooikerhond
Gentle: small Toy Australian Shepherd

Then the dogs of our friends

Blitz: Malinois
Sky: Malinois
Bentley: Malinois
Nina: Malinois Shepherd
Bikkel: little Jack Russel Terrier

If there were troubles ... we had benches

We had taken the benches to possibly put the dogs in for the rest in the evening. During the day we knew for sure that we would be really busy with them anyway. Finally, there was a large playground at the holiday home, De Siriushoeve. And there was plenty to see in the area. We had the cars with us, and that gave us plenty of options. And after the busy days, then hope that the dogs would all be tired of so many impressions in the evening. If not, and there were problems ... which is not excluded with so many dogs, there were benches to quickly settle things down again.

To say that I really rested on that vacation? No that's not true. It was a very active vacation. But a really good holiday. So I keep beastly good memories of those days.

A few more pictures of that vacation are below, as a part of the challenge ... Only a few Beastie photos.
