A mining monopoly Bitmain is expanding its farm network. Without excessive hype, the company is about to open several new centers for the mining of cryptocurrency. According to the documents that fell into the hands of Coindesk, the mining farms will be located somewhere in the northwest of the United States.
There is an interesting connection between Bitmain and the recently opened Ant Creek, which is also engaged in the creation of mining farms, but in the state of Washington.
The site companies-number.com reports that the only owner of Ant Creek is Jihan Wu, who is also co-founder of Bitmain. Wu founded Ant Creek on the 28th of June, 2017 and registered the company as a commercial organization.
The documents do not contain the exact address of the company’s location, however some data can be found on the information site of the city Port Wall, WA. According to the data posted on this site, local authorities have been dealing with Ant Creek for 6 months already, including discussing the lease of land by the company for the placement of mining centers. If the deal is successful, then the company will have 160 thousand square kilometers of land by 2019.
The connection between Bitmain and Ant Creek is not supported or described anywhere officially for some reason, although according to the data from the documents the stage of preparation of new farms for the mining of cryptocurrency has already been completed.
Upon completion of the plan, Ant Creek should attract about $9 million in private investments to the city of Port Wall and create 15-20 jobs.
