Some of the species Red foxes have a genetic change that gives them a very different coloration. Instead of being entirely red brown like the common fox image we all know they develop a black fur that stripes in various ways between the red fur. If you google Cross fox and see images you can see just how many amazing different patterns this creates with all shapes and sizes of Red Foxes. Truly beautiful animals and very mischievious!!
