THE DIARY GAME : 03/08/2020 | Festive time!

Dear friends, Today I had to wake up little early as it was our festival and I had to do a little bit of preparation for it. Today was Rakshabandhan, it's a festival to celebrate the love and bond between brother and sister.

I have a brother but he stays in Agra, so I had already sent my rakhi, bought from 'Amazon India' much ahead to make sure it reaches to him on time and thankfully it did.

So I woke up around 7.30 am Today. After taking bath I decorated my worship place with the fresh flowers from my plants which I have planted in my balcony. Since my childhood , every year this day I tie Rakhi to Lord Ganesha and Lord Krishna as well.

Then, I had a group video call with all my family members, I really miss them. Last year we all were together on Rakshabandhan and I tied Rakhi to my brother but this time I couldn't do that but we celebrated a virtual Rakshabandhan which was quite a new experience.

Life is all about new experiences, so I think instead of felling bad about what we don't have right now we should look for the silver lining and appreciate that. I am happy that at least everyone is happy and healthy wherever they are.

Then I prepared Kachori and Kheer(Rice pudding) which we usually prepare on festivals. It was quite late already so I considered it a brunch. Then I completed my few left episodes of 'Crash landing on you' which I mentioned in my first day diary post.

I finally completed the show, and I think I am experiencing post binge syndrome :P :( Anyways I took a power nap after that.

It was already the time for my evening tea and Pilates.I tried a new brand of the green tea today and surprisingly it was good. After my exercise I prepared dinner and then was just scrolling through phone for quite some time. I had my dinner and started reading a book which I am gonna tell about in my tomorrow's post.

I am touched by this sense of devotion. May Lord Krishna and Ganesha bless you with a prosperous and fulfilling life.

Eaxtly. Contentment is the key to happiness in life. And this unprecedented time has also taught us how to explore happiness even from the silly things in our life. In the pursuit of achieving something(or a perfect life) we miss out on the already existing happiness. What you have in your life, some other people have been working day in and out to achieve those, so we must recognize the already existing happiness around us. A sense of gratitude for whatever we have in our life makes someone's life fulfilling with contentment.

Looking forward to your next dairy post.

Have a great day.

Steem on.

Thank you @sapwood for your kind words :) .

My pleasure.
