100 DAYS OF STEEM : My 38th Diary Game - 4th July 2020

in thediarygame •  4 years ago

Hello Guys, my diary activities began when I decided to register for my Voter's ID card today. Today, my condition was far better compared to yesterday. I needed to walk rather than staying at home, I hope one of the best way for a sick person to recover is ensuring physical activeness. Apart from this, this exercise of Voter registration would be moved to a different polling stations by tomorrow if I refuse to do it today. That's why I woke up early morning to join a queue.

I thought that the processed of registration would be tight with a lot of crowded people, so my decision was to get there early. Even I delayed a little as 8am. When I about 10m to reach the environment where this exercise was taken place i checked the scene with my Camera phone - Tecno Spark 4 KC8 here:

So I asked myself is what many people are saying the need to rush and register for your card? Well, it was very good that I was there at a time that there wasn't pressure. When I entered, the first thing was to wash my hands with running water place in front of the that primary school they are doing the registration. This is the polling station closer to my house, it's called "Agoroyesum Electorial Area." We have about 8 polling station at Nsuta town. There was no queue to follow, no register Voter ahead of me, Wow, I thought in my mind this I'll help me leave the scene quickly. There were 4 processes/steps for me to follow before my Voter ID would be fully completed. I was called by the first registrar on the first seat. He was in charge of writing the names and interrogating for relevant information, he form part of the data entry. When I sat before him he asked me so many questions about my person details, place of residence and all that. Here I was very tight to the extent that I could get one shot. I was directed to move to the next step. A very gentleman of about 45yrs, he received my documents prepared from the first seat also verified and asked few questions. I had opportunities to took one shot here:

I proceeded to the next table to be with two gentlemen. This is where my hard copy of data entered was queued into the computer, personal data informed confirmed before I was asked to tomb print my right and left index fingers. Finally, my picture was taken with computer and printed out for the final process.

I moved to the last seat, where there were 4 nice ladies. One in front of me was doing the lamination of Voter ID card. I presumed the 3 other people might be party agents taken information to tally with their documents they already have. Because they asked similar questions that was asked at the first seat of which to my knowledge wasn't relevant. But I was not bothered. The laminator further confirmed my details of information provided to them. Everything was alright she then went ahead to laminate to Voter ID card for me.

Look at her at this busy working hours receiving calls!

I finally received my new Voter ID card which would be used for all documents, even not for the election alone, but for Banking, Visa, and filling of relevant information, they mostly demand this Voter's ID card. I was very happy then. I took few pictures here to share with my friends in Steem how Ghana's new Voter ID card look like compare to the other Countries.

When I compared the new Voter's ID card to the old one, there is so disparities of features showing here; the backgrounds, the the image positions, our flag position, the font size of the written documents and many other things differ. But I like the current one since it's much detailed compared to the old one. Something like my date of birth is clearly stated here which not be far fetch without even mentioned to the one who needs it.

I was having one great appointment to accomplish today, and I must say it has come at the right time. My friend Abu Iddrisu invited me to his younger brother's wedding wedding at Zongo. Abu is my closed friend, of which I had to go immediately. I decided to go home and changed into a new cloth, but the weather isn't clear, it was threatening to rain. So I went there straight after registering for my new Voter ID card. When I reached there they have even arranged the scene, well decorated. It was exactly 10:31am. Few people were here with the MC, who is Abu my friend. I was very happy to see him doing the MC, since in our school days he was very vocal. They were waiting for the "Ayeforo Baa," that's is the bride 👰. Both the bride and the bridegroom are all Muslims.

IMG_20200704_135844_443.jpg

They were waiting for the bride to come, here she is on her way coming. One funny aspect is that her bridegroom is outside this Country so they are doing this and later send him some of the wedding scenes. The bride was well dressed in her wedding gown, well polished with her make ups.

IMG_20200704_135016_983.jpg

Oh why? look as if these people have forgotten social distancing, I was even afraid of how people were overcrowded here.

IMG_20200704_135642_905.jpg

Yeah, I like that dance from the bride, despite the fact that her husband to be isn't around to dance with her. I even record some small portion of her dancing with the song.

IMG_20200704_135615_468.jpg

I was even afraid how the crowds were encroaching small, I did what I was supposed to do and left there. We planned eating fufu today, so I bought some cassava on my way coming. This cost only Ghc 5.00, about $5.9 Steem.

IMG_20200704_144332_226.jpg

When I came home it was about 2pm. My wife quickly peel the cassava and yam, set the fire and cooked. We already have soup in our freezer so this would be some few minutes to finish our supper. We would want to grind the fufu in that machine, we decided to pound far as we have mortar and pistle. When the food was well cooked my wife quickly washed the mortar and the pistle. I pounded the fufu with 30mins time.

By 4:30pm we had finished eating our supper. I was in rush to meet one friend you accepted my invitation to sign up on Steem. He is called Elliamor Clement. I chat with him about Steem and how freedom we live with it. He became keen to sing up since many business have failed him by taken away his millions of Ghana cedis. But with Steem there is no starter pack of money for a beginner, and no money to waste here. So, yesterday he wasn't around me in town, but he forced me to register him.

IMG_20200702_132325_401.jpg

I tried using the New free sign here:https://signup.steemit.com/ so that he can verify on his Email and phone number. I tried several and the App was giving me wrong feed back like: "Unknown phone number." But that is the actual number Elliamor uses. So, I thought that maybe it was because of two different phones, so when he comes today I will use his phone register him. In fact before God and man, we sat there for almost 1 hour and the same feedback was given. He was even using 2 Sims, I tried the other number and the same thing was happening.

So I don't know where I am wrong now, should I have omitted our Country code +233 before the number or what. Please you really know how it hurt to get sign someone up and it fails. Please help me on this to streamline things so that I get him board tommorow. Thanks for your support.

Thanks for your effort and concern. It has even worked.

why are wearing the mask?
its not good for your health.

Wearing mask is very essential now because it give protection from Covid-19 virus lol.

lol No the mask will reduce the amount of oxygen in your system plus you have a cold it will increase your viral load running the risk of you getting very very sick.
And if you take into account the fact that Covid 19 is as deadly as the common cold - Not at all deadly there is no real need for anybody to care. Wearing a mask is like building a chain link fence to keep mosquito's out of your garden, it wont stop the virus and you run the risk of getting more sick.

Wow..keren sekali, saya menyukai fotografi anda.
Selamat untuk anda karena sudah memiliki voter card, kapan akan dilaksanakan pemilihan di Ghana?

I needed to walk rather than staying at home, I hope one of the best way for a sick person to recover is ensuring physical activeness.

Yes, physical exercise is good for our health. Especially when you feel weak and keep on sleeping. Thanks that addition.

You're welcome buddy.

You had a very busy day filled with lots of amazing programs. Thanks for being a responsible citizen by registering and securing a new voters ID.

One funny aspect is that her bridegroom is outside this Country so they are doing this and later send him some of the wedding scenes.

This is indeed very funny. It's something new. I have never seen a wedding happening in the absence of a Bride groom. Any way..they will send him the wedding pictures as an evidence. Could this be another wife his marrying or something? I know Muslims believe in marrying up-to 4 women.

Glad to learn of how you prepare Fufu.. All along its pounded cassava!! In Uganda, we enjoy cassava. We call Pounded cassava "Chwada." What a caring husband Thanks so much for helping your wife in the preparation process. More blessings for your marriage and family.

Thanks for spreading the word and helping your struggling friend in creating his steem account. Sorry for the challenges with the phone number verification. I believe, It will finally workout another as hoped.

Thanks so much for taking part in the diary game. Your submitions are very exceptional.
Stay awesome! Keep steeming!

Kind regards from Uganda.

Yeah, my day was full of activities; from voter ID card, wedding, pounding fufu and finally trying to creat acc. for my friend. But I will again and see if I can register him.
