As you know, now we are spending 74th day on #the100daysofsteem initiated by @steemcurator01 and @steemitblog. You have still 26 days for #thediarygame to make your amazing diary page. Even if you don't know, this challenge is a huge opportunity for everyone to acquire a good position in Steemit Community.

I am going to summarize 7 tips that is more important when writing your diary. I decided to write this because I saw many participants who has different good abilities do not put their maximum effort when presenting the information.

Let's start...

1. Be honest

I put this on the top of the list because honesty must be the first thing even in real life. When you writing the diary never put anything you didn't. Always let to highlight your real-life characteristics. This will make a pleasant idea about your self. If you are a traveler, let the community see your self as it is. This also make you popular in a particular aspect.

And also never write fake facts. When you write more details about something, be sure to put correct data. Always cite the owner of images, if not they are yours. Don't hesitate to write your own opinion about the matter. Most importantly never lie by adding things you did early.

In my case, even my current daily life is stuck to home and even it is very boring I never put anything I did earlier days. I use other tricks to present them as happier.

2.Give more details

As @steemitblog always says, "This is your real life - not fiction". You should try to present all the important things you did, you felt and you see in a creative manner. Always try to write it with a good flow. Then the readers will love to read them. If you visit some nice scenery, put the location for it. There can be people who love to visit. If you make a food just link the recipe. If you went to market write the situation there, how things happening, prices, quality etc. There are readers who love to learn cross-cultural differences. If you read a book put the title, author, and summary using one or two sentences. It is your duty to write well while keeping readers attraction.

Don't forget to write how you felt while doing a particular activity.

3. Add More Photos

Pictures speak louder than words. Also, they will increase the attraction of your page. Most importantly remember to add a thumbnail image (The first image) which is more creative and attractive. It leads to attracting readers to your diary.

Images provide evidence of your work. You can use images in different ways. May be to explain things, as sketches, as evidence, only for decorating your diary or to show your talent. It's up to you and please use them meaningfully. It is a best practice, adding captions for images. Your own photos add more value.

4. Do Something New

As I felt, your creativeness is highly valuable in Steemit. Don't stick to the same format. Try to change the way of your diary. It can be the structure, language, images, or anything. Use this challenge to show your creativeness to the world.

Don't try to write just something. Try to add value to society.

5. Good use of language

As you are allowed to use any language you can do your best. In my case I use my second language as if I use my native, it reduces my audience. The google translation for Sinhala is really a mess.

Use a simple language as your audience may not very good in English. I have seen many participants write very nicely using very creative statements which is good. Use Grammarly chrome extension to keep things neat.

6. Don't spam

Even though this is a competition, please behave well. Never let yourself to appear as a spammer. If you look like a spammer no one tries to read yours. Don't forget to share your article in social media to improve the audience.

7. Don't hesitate to appreciate others

This is not just competition. Try to read other diaries and help them to improve. Don't forget to vote, share, and comment to make them motivating. Always keep a good intention in mind rather than "I will win somehow".
