Ram Jethmalani was one of the most respected and fearless lawyers in India. He fought many high-profile cases and tried to improve relations between India and Pakistan throughout his political career.
Ram Jethmalani was born in the Sindh province of Pakistan in September 1923 and died at the age of 95 on 8 September 2019 in Delhi. He completed his law at the age of 17 and on making an application to the court he became a lawyer at the age of 18 years as the legal age to become a lawyer was 21.
• He started his law career in Sindh province of Pakistan
• After partition he fled to India and stayed at a refugee camp for 10 days
• He won his first case against the Bombay refugees act
• He became the chairman of the Bar Council of India four times.
