"HA!"

You start laughing, almost uncontrollably. The way this little creature seems to think it has any power is absurd. Yeah, sure, maybe it's mystical and magical, but it's also here, in the physical world, and if it's tied to some sickly trees, then it can't be all that badass.

You just start walking away from it faster than it's walking towards you. After your third step, though, you realize your left foot can't quite leave the ground. A sharp pain hits you in the heel, and, looking down, you can see a tree root piercing it near the ankle. You begin to struggle more violently. You managed to break free with one step, but you stumble over another root and fall. The roots reach up from the ground and hold you face down. The little green and brown creature is shaking with fury, no trace of amusement on its face. It stands atop you.

"Tell me why I shouldn't plant a tree in you right now, and let your excuse for a life be the food for something greater."
