Dear @silentwrath,
Thank you for sharing this.
I am happy for Anni that she was able to get out of where she was.
Although I am not a Muslim anymore, and I understand her experience and what she has been through. I don't agree with anything she is saying about The book
The book as she mentions is not only the 4th Sorah yet she keeps attacking it as if it was only that. Not only this, but she is also giving excuse to her father, her husband, her government for what they did and what they are doing, just because they are following The 4th Sorah in the book
To me, that is ridiculous and absolute BS. Let alone it is coming from a woman with 134 IQ.
First of all, as humans we have the ability to decide for ourselves what we want to believe or follow. She did, didn't she? She decided that she didn't want to follow The 4th Sorah of the book but her father, husband and government decided they wanted to follow The 4th Sorah of the book.
If Arabic is her second language, it is my first language. In the book there is 114 Sorah but she speaks only about the 4th Sorah, thats about 0.9% of the book and the verse she is speaking about is 1 out of 176 verses in that Sorah. Thats 0.5% of the whole Sorah.
She also forgot to mention the other verses where men are told to treat their wives/women with kindness and respect.
I am not trying to protect Islam, neither trying to protect The book. But this is very bias speech and it is considerably dangerous because it is coming from a place of hate.
This is exactly what ISIS and other extremist do. Take whatever that serves their hateful cause and forget how it was said or what was said around it, then go and kill people and say "We were ordered to do it by God"
Even if that was true, God didn't come down to tell them to do that or else, they chose to do it.
To this I say, FFS stop blaming God, a book or another person for doing what you wanted to do because of your hatred, ignorance and anger.
