Encouragement Got Me Here - The Gray Contest Week 3

I can't deny the fact that I've been off for a while. Well, I've been trying to gather momentum for my writing skills💪 But hey, I'm back now and that's what brought me to partake in this contest by @iamthegray💃 Thank you for the opportunity to express myself @iamthegray😊

The past few weeks turned out to have been a not-so-happy one for me, from one bad news to the other😩 But I'd like to share one of my experiences, which birthed this post because its the most apt that relates with this topic so well.

As an entrepreneur, scratch that... As an individual, the goal is to keep striving to get to the top of your game in whatever you do, right?

So for the past few months I've been trying to sign a contract with a company in my city of residence. A bank actually. The contract was about me being their official daily food vendor, you know, cater for everything edible they are in need of on a daily basis.

I submitted my proposal in September last year and kept hoping and praying it would be granted. I was even given a 70% probability of getting the contract 'cause we already had conversations and they checked out my portfolio as well.
So here I was, waiting for the good news. I was told I would be contacted in December. Waited all through December, hoping for the good news but I still had to end 2017 with my hopes held high.

2018 arrived and then the second week to be precise, I got the mail!
I was superexcited already without even opening it 'cause I was completely positive already. Only to open it and I got the shocker "We are sorry we would not be able to grant you the contract, blah blah blah"😭😭

I was really sad. Getting that contract would have brought an upliftment in my business and I was dreaming of it already. Only to get my hopes shattered. I was down for days, I didn't feel encouraged to do anything, and remember I said I had other bad news to deal with too...

So this close friend buzzed me and started asking about my business out of the blues. I didn't even know what to say cause I was out of hopes. I gathered the courage to tell her all that had been happening and she was shook. It just felt like God practically sent her to pull me out of that trying period.

Before I knew it, she dropped about 2 blazing ideas that could take my business to the next level with all the steps and details I would need to go through. Like wow! She encouraged me a lot and told me I'm capable to make my dreams come true. She really did revive my shattered hopes, just like that. You can't even imagine the kind of joy thay sprang up in me😁😁

So now I have started to work on taking my business to the next level, all thanks to my amazing friend Pam❤💃

My dear friends, you can be whoever you want to be and do exploits. Don't stop pushing, keep your games up. Let your hopes be up always, even in situations when it seems like positivity is far away. Just keep it moving!💪

God uses our seasons of pain to elevate us

Reading @iamthegray's post actually encouraged me and I didn't know when I started typing lol. I didn't even expect I was going to type these much words😂 (If you scroll up, you'll see where I said I've been gathering momentum for my writing skills). I'm glad I partook in this contest😊
