The Marine Memoirs - Day 011

Day 11
2009-5-06

I woke up at 04:00 today, and certainly had a better morning than I did yesterday. My clothes weren’t wet and the shower didn’t malfunction. I was scheduled to calibrate my rifle today on the range at 08:00, but the range was actually scheduled for 12:00. Some dumb ass heavy read the letter of instruction incorrectly, and we’re now going during the hottest part of the day, which makes absolutely no sense. Later on, it was cancelled for the day completely, and was replaced by a mandatory mine sweeping course. I was the only one in the company who was exempt, due to the fact that I’ve been outside the safe zone already. I swear it’s as if they mess up on purpose, because it’s hard to believe that people who are in positions to make decisions are so incredibly stupid.

That little green book there is how this book came to be.

At least you got out of the task but seems like they did some really stupid thing.

Yeah, it would have been better if the people teaching the class knew a lot more, but anything designed to keep you alive isn't all bad, so I guess it could have been worse.
