THE MIND

This morning ...
I've been staring at this blank sheet for too long. It's getting boring. And on my nerves. "kay, write something na!" A voice in my head screams. Very rude something. Pfft.

I start out on my key pads with an intention to scribble, but there's nothing to pour out at the moment . So, I decided to stay stall till something clicked. And I've been stalling, up till this point.

But this I'm sure of though, whatever thought that eventually comes will be a product of either the words I've heard or some images I've seen some days or weeks back, could even be in the moment that's just passed. That, I tell you, amazes me about the human mind.

I've come to learn that the mind is capable of a lot of things. It can scan, copy, restore, paste, save and perform a host of other 'actions' our PCs can boast of and more. But then, there's something else we might not know or even suspect our mind is — the mind is evil. This is actually a natural tendency. Consequentially, it doesn't have to be learnt or worked at. See why it is not easy to do right? Irrespective of what your Faith holds, the consensus will always be the promise of a reward if you did good and a punishment for evil — anything to point you to do good.

The mind.
There's yet one more thing the mind is very good at — it can make a lie look real, giving you keep feeding it with it. At this point, one can't possibly blame the mind. If you, for instance, blame yourself for the assault you experienced as a teen, you will want to do everything within (or with-out) your power so you prevent a recurrence. You may go to an extreme where you position your mind to suspect every of the perpetrator's kind. You will leave no room for trust. Over time, it will look like the perfect lifestyle for you. Except, of course, if there's an epiphany, you might never know you're a walking casualty, way worse that anything you ever experienced as a teen.

Bottom line:
Ultimately, the power of the mind is either a blessing or curse depending on how you wield it.

Pheew! Turns out something eventually clicked. So typical of me, incomplete thoughts 🙈. But it's something.

Good morning
