Mini shot to fame with 'A Shot In The Dark' as early as 1964. However it was 'The Italian Job' in 1969 and it's remake in 2003 which catapulted this beautiful little car to global popularity and made it very famous. People loved the action sequence with the Mini Cooper in the 'Bourne Identity' as well.
There were many other movies which had the Cooper in them. Some of them are Pixels, Young Adult, The Britalian Job, Mr. Bean and Austin Powers in Goldmember. These movies were the perfect platform for Mini to become a household name amongst premium cars in many parts of the world. It was initially sold as a cheap little car and suddenly it became a premium model sold by BMW all over the world!
