The Power Of Sound - Post #11

I want to share the music I've come across that has a certain quality to it, rare and elusive. The kind of music that moves you so deeply in a way that you can't understand or describe, no matter what style of music it is. The lyrics or music or video may make no sense to your brain, but it does to your soul. It's extremely cathartic and inspiring.

Artist: Jeremy Ivey

Song: The Dream And The Dreamer

This is a great example of how you don't need a complex composition with intricately woven layers upon layers of carefully crafted sound and notes in order to make a powerful piece of music. Simplicity can be just as powerful in its own way. Here, the music serves as emotion in support of Jeremy's brilliant lyrics, and together they say something that neither the music nor the poetry alone would achieve. When you listen closely to what he's saying, you realize you've been thinking the same thing for a long time, but never had the words for it. This song is like a much-needed hug, releasing the pain of old wounds to make room for energy and life again.

Thank you for reading, and if you enjoy the music I share, please consider upvoting/resteeming/following! I'll be back with more exceptional music in a week or so.
