Here's my introduction. My name is Kashif. I am a husband, father, Veteran, HARLEY LOVER, and therapist (LPC to be exact). I was introduced to this by a friend and brother. He's more savvy than I when it comes to this and many other things.
I served in the Army as a Military Police Officer till I wasn't physically able to continue due to an accident. I've been out for over 20 years now. Wow that's a long time. When I left the Army I started my career in juvenile justice and formal education. I worked in that field for over 17 years before I retired in 2013 and started my full time private practice just outside of Ft. Hood, Tx. I actually started my practice in 2008.
I went to college later than most in life. I graduated in 2004 with my third and last degree. I earned my AAS, BS, and MS in just over three years. I went to school full time and worked full time to support my family and achieve my goals in life. By the time I graduated I knew my path. I had to find a way to open my counseling practice and help soldiers. I have seen too many of my brothers and sisters get hurt or die. Those who came back broken needed help. I was going to help them. One way or another I was going to be one of many who helped them get back home.
Well that's it I guess. I'm looking forward to reading many stories and posting some of my own.
Awesome first post, here is some help on tags: There is no space if it is a two word tag, so introduceyourself, introducemyself, introduction, therapy, would get this placed where more folks can bite. I am glad you are on here and I am resteeming this, which is the little arrow that loops back next to "Reply". That will post it for my followers to see the same as retweeting on twitter and sharing on fascistbook. You are here at a great time because of the recent changes, and because of this it is important to strategize what you upvote, as it will become less and less powerful the more you do it, until it recharges which is approximately 20% per day from what I have been told. I am referring to "voting power". Although it is tempting to up vote every comment, it is imperative that you are aware of this because your curation rewards will diminish. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a buzz. Now put that bike at 12 O'clock! :)
