The Room (2003) an American romantic drama film written, directed , produced, and staring himself, Tommy Wiseau. The flim is about a melodramatic love triangle among friends. The reason I am bring this movie up is that it is bad, like really bad. The acting is bad, the directing is bad and the plot is bad! Everything is bad, that it is funny to the point it is good! I don't know if that makes sense, but if you watch it, you'll understand what I am talking about.

I am bring this up because a few years back, I went out on a date with a girl I met online. This was our second date and she wanted to watch a movie. I asked her what movie she wanted to see, she replied "The Room". Me not knowing or keeping up with movie listings was thinking it was a recently released movie out in theaters. We got to the movie theater, and come to figure out, this wasn't your normal movie theaters, but one that played grind-house like movies.

So at this point I was perplex by the location. The thing that took me off guard the most was the size of the crowd that were there to see it. Ok, I was thinking to myself, it must be getting good reviews if it is attracting this large of a crowd. There were people talking about that it was there 50th time seeing it, that is when I started to do my homework. I asked the girl I was with what was it about, if it was horror because of the tittle (it sounds like a horror movie), she was like no, it is more of a drama, but she liked it because it was funny and loved it. So I asked her how did she hear about it, then that is when she told me she saw it in 2005. It was about 2014 at the time and I was like what the hell!

We watched the movie, and during the whole thing I was saying to myself, this fucking movie is horrible. I was kinda embarrassed watching it. The theater was packed and audience members were quoting the movie as it played out loud! There were times I was asking myself, is this real? Why? Why would people want to see this again and again.

After a weeks went by, I was thinking about the movie and realized that it was so bad, it was good! Then that is when I understood why it had a cult following. The movie is awful, but the acting is what makes it! Check out some parts of the film posted on here and tell me what you think.

Cheers
