I do believe I'll have to start using Hive. This morning was a final straw for me, when Steemit refused to allow my vote for a post by Urasoul go through. I'm just now using Steempeak for the first time (ever not using Steemit). Still confused though why so many posts and comments here are saying they were first posts on Hive yet showing up on Steem.

Not sure what I'll do with my Steem. I began my powerdown weeks ago as I already saw writing on the walls, only to be confirmed more by the day. Noticing my feed is a lot emptier than normal, which confirms for me this experiment has not been about the small change I have earned (which is valued below what I paid for the meager amount I did). It's always been about the associations and freedom to cast my vote/voice how I want (not necessarily free of consequence, lol).

I will probably sell my Steem as I have little desire to mess with exchanges for the most part, and figuring out a replacement token (the plans for the Tron swap) isn't something I want to devote time/risk to. Hopefully my powerdown will be most to all the way done before the forced swap goes into effect.

Wherever the dust settles, I want you to know I have appreciated you/your posts here on the chain. I don't typically follow accounts that write mainly about the chain, but your sense of identity that shines through reminds me often of the humor of Erma Bombeck. I hope to see you on the other chain in the coming months and hope that soon your sadness will dissipate in the idea that what you (and the rest of us) have built doesn't reside in the chain itself. Code is not the value, it is a formula that allows/disallows quality and heart to shine and attract/repel. Those external applications that are drawn to a chain are what determines its value. Your quirks are one of those valuable applications, and I thank you now in case the opportunity doesn't present itself again.
