Today I want to to tell you about my favourite book. Franz Kafka is a German author, born in 1883, he died in 1924. His main works have stayed fragments: The Process, The Castle and America.
Like in a nightmare, Kafka's protagonists move through a labyrinth of opaque conditions and are at the mercy of anonymous powers.
The Castle Starts with the arrival of main character K at night at the snowy little village which belongs to the castle of the Earl of Westwest. K‘s aim is to get to the castle, for which reason we will never be told. When in the first moment it looks like there are ways and connections to get the permission or even the physical possibility to enter the castle, more and more K gets stuck in the maze of the people and the clerks of the castle.
Sounds strange, it is strange... but there‘s the magic of a deep phantasy inside the story.
Franz Kafka today is the most read German writing author.
I am reading the revised edition of the Reclam publishing house.
