Feeling pop culture myths evaporate while enjoying the rain

Sometimes I feel all influences from the culture fall apart. The relatedness seems stale, I become different. The movies or t.v. don't appeal to me, music doesn't appeal to me, social media doesn't appeal to me. In those times I feel I come back to my self. I ask myself what kind of music or movie would appeal to me then!? I get inspired and think I will have to do it myself! so I can watch a good movie or hear a song with the kinda lyrics I would like. If pop culture is the postmodern religion of the masses, then I'm losing my religion. And this is what it would look like.

I feel sometimes unable to relate to the culture at all. The radio at certain times is brainless, no shopping store or fast food appeals to me at all. Cities are stale. Roads are stale. Just concrete and buy and sell. Advertisement insults your intelligence. Sports don't appeal to me. Current forms of politics are pathetic. Almost every form of industry seems corrupted from pollution to treatment of the poor. Sex drugs and rock and roll don't appeal to me.

Alienating sure but reassuring to the gut feeling that the current culture is dysfunctional. Those living under the technology are unaware of many of it's effects on people and social life. What to make of the corrupt money systems, governments and institutions that are based on certain cultural myths. Create a better myth!
