It is important to listen to your thoughts and learn to ignore the voice in your head that will send you to negative thinking about someone. There are many self-help books that can help you do this, but learning to ignore those negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones is something that has to be learned.
The only way to do this is to start with positive thoughts that you can repeat to yourself as often as possible. We all have voices in our heads that are there to warn us of danger, and if we think about that person it will have a way of reminding us of what our negative thoughts are telling us.
Instead of focusing on those negative thoughts, think about the same positive thoughts over again. One thing to consider is what you would be doing if you were not thinking about that person in particular. This way you will become very familiar with the way you think, and how you need to control it when negative thoughts start to threaten you.
In some cases, your thoughts are not evil, they are merely the products of your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is not the one that really believes the things you say, it is the one that has created those thoughts in your mind. That is why it is so important to create new positive thoughts for yourself. When you feel good about yourself, you tend to think positively, and when you start to feel good about yourself, your subconscious is going to respond by creating positive thoughts.
Unfortunately, the things that your subconscious keeps in there are not things that can be changed so you can get back to a happy, positive way of thinking. What you can do though, is change the way you think.
Inorder to do this, you are going to have to go into an alternate reality where you see yourself as a more positive person, and create new positive thoughts. You need to turn away from your negative thoughts, and focus on your positive thoughts instead.
When you focus on your negative thoughts, your subconscious will fight back by sending you more negative messages, and you will end up repeating the same pattern in your head over again. In order to break out of that pattern, you are going to have to create new positive thoughts that you can repeat to yourself repeatedly.
For this you are going to need to take a quiet place and stop yourself from being distracted by everything around you. Then you need to focus on your positive thoughts that you can repeat to yourself.
