The Employee Mindset vs The Entrepreneurial Mindset

Answer me this question. Let’s say hypothetically you want to be a lawyer, doctor, or architect. Would you know what to do? Do you know what steps are involved? Well, obviously, you know that a certain amount of schooling would be required to obtain a degree in each respective field in order to secure those positions.

Well, my next question would be, how do you become self-employed or a business owner? Are the steps as clear to you?
If not, this is reasonably so.

Most of us are programmed from an early age to go to school and get a job. The majority of us learned that we go to school, to get the right training, in order to get the right job. We weren’t made aware that being an entrepreneur was even an option. In addition, the school system is based on rewards for making fewer mistakes. A-students are successful only for making the least amount of mistakes. But in business, the people that don’t want to make mistakes are the ones that don’t succeed because they’re afraid. They allow their fear to hold them back. People who take action in the real world are the ones that make the most mistakes and learn from them. Unless you grew up in an entrepreneurial family, the business mindset was not encouraged. We were to go to school and get a job and that was just the way it was. Government funded education has basically been a corporate training program from the very beginning, sad as it is. Essentially, we have been conditioned through our educational upbringing to not be what we really want to be or do. I say it’s high time for us to make the paradigm shift from employee mentality to being in control of our own lives.

Look, I know “risk” is the most feared obstacle and this is what stops most people from becoming successful. However, the biggest risk in life is to risk nothing at all. The way to eliminate obstacles, which are mere negative thoughts, is to think positive and take positive action. Your mind is the most powerful resource you have. I know you have probably read and heard this over and over again, but positive thinking does work. Positive thinking creates positive actions. Many before have touted the same.
Ask yourself, “Can they all be wrong?” How many ways can I tell you, you have had the power within you from the time you were born? You have the ability to think positively. Personal development is directly tied to financial development. You can take your business to the next level just by the way you think.

And if you don’t know where to begin, don’t worry. There is always the mindset before the skillset. Your only limitation is you.
