I am a big fan of Christmas!
I love everything around Christmas, the trees, the lights and also the spirit and joy. I mostly prefer to have a white Christmas but the Snow gods have not blessed it with that for many years. My most favorite part is putting up the tree! I know most people do it already after Thanksgiving but we don't celebrate that here and most of us Dutch people wait till after Sinterklaas ( A dutch celebrating... Don't ask lol)) on 5 December.
I waited but yesterday it was December 6 and I have put my tree up!
Here is my tree, I tried to do a evening shot as well but that really looks weird and no fun but I added it anyways. I only have my cell phone so I can't take a proper night shot right now.
Sadly, I have a fake tree :(
I am highly allergic to pine and when I have a real one in the house and I touch it just a little bit my skin turns into a fire pit of hell. So decorating a real tree is out of the question for me. I miss the scent of a real tree in the house and I tried those cans and candles but they are not giving that real smell you want with Christmas. So if anyone had a good solution for that please share it with me here.
I also want to ask you to take a picture of your tree and share it with us all!

I love your tree, I have to have a fake one too as I can not breathe with real pine in the house. I started to get allergic to pine in my late 40's, so odd I thought. So artificial for me too. I have been posting all of my decorating for the past two weeks here on Steemit for everyone to enjoy. Glad to see your post. I will be showing my tree in a couple of days. ;-)

It does not take my breath away but if I touch it... OUCH. It feels like sunburn but ten times as bad and I get these weird blisters. When I was a kid I had no problems with a real tree. My parents always had one and I helped decorating as well. The first time I get the skin burn was in my 20's, really weird. But I am glad the fake trees are becoming better looking these days. I look forward to see your tree soon.

It hurts yes but there are worse things in the world. At least I know and I can but a fake tree. I love decorating the tree and the house. I always try to make new things each year but I always stick to the same colors red and gold.
