Shower Thought:

Sucks to be listening to an Elton John playlist in the shower and then a Tai Lopez commercial interrupts it.

Especially when they don't even bother to structure the commercials around when the songs end. Just really soul crushing, and then you always have the glimmer of doubt and can't fully commit to Elton.

One more thought:

Let's say you're grossly offended by whatever political or society type of issue. Some sort of fatal problem or injustice with how things are structured.

If hypothetically you were allowed to go live somewhere with friends and people who agree with you (free to settle unclaimed land, wouldn't have to pay for it) and could govern as you wish and be sure that you wouldn't be messed with in any way..

Would that be fine? Or would you still maybe be a victim of some type of injustice?

If you think you might still be fatally wronged somehow, I offer the idea that you're a leech.

Now don't get me wrong-- it's not that I think you have to be convinced that the world can work or be its best without large central hierarchies (it can and it will, but you're allowed to disagree). You just can't feel grossly victimized by anything, if the idea of not being messed with wouldn't settle it.

The horrrrror!!! 😣😭

If hypothetically you were allowed...

Its one of two things:

  • You'd feel grossly victimized by the feeling that you can't ever feel grossly victimized again.

(But I suppose that's the definition of a leech.)

  • You'd be bored to death!

it can and it will,

I'm really glad you think so too!

bahaaa

You'd feel grossly victimized by the feeling that you can't ever feel grossly victimized again.

ya! They might find a way. But then they'd have to re-do the thought experiment, and keep branching off into increasingly insufferable groups 😃

which feeds into your second bullet:

You'd be bored to death!

Seems like that's basically the long-term conclusion! Either you're by yourself, or with the few people who hellishly keep agreeing with you. Fucked up place to be, either way.

They need there to be a bunch of reasonable people holding it all together. So that they have something to leech off of. If you reduce it to just the leeches, it ain't the kind of place to raise your kids.

p.s. speaking of songs, I clicked on the songbay link in your profile, but it says 'artist unavailable'.

I coulda been listening to you in the shower!!!

rotfl! seems like the universe keeps finding ways to stop you from listening to some cool music! haha. It probably says that cos it's been a while. Mostly it's just some of my original lyrics I put on there, though. But do not despair just yet, I'm planning on doing some covers and uploading it here on steemit haha.

Just keep taking those showers XD

If you reduce it to just the leeches, it ain't the kind of place to raise your kids.

haha, the irony!

sweet, tytyt, I will watch/listen/read/etc when they're up!

Just keep taking those showers XD

I'm known to do it once or twice a week!

I'm really glad you think so too!

ya!! <3

things are so kind of decent now even WITH all the hierarchy and imbalances.. like running with weights on your ankles or something, shows how strong we are and what we can do

I think we mostly don't really even know what humanity is or is capable of, like just at the surface, what we can do when we're free to grow outside of these systems of preying on each other... mind-bending

I think we mostly don't really even know what humanity is or is capable of,

Definitely! And sadly we may never know! The system, one must agree, is very well put in place, and I hate to sound conspiracy theorist but it is in some people's best interests to make sure those systems remain in place and they'll stop at nothing to make it so 😕

ya, it's BEAUTIFULLY put in place.. like if you look at it in an amoral sense, like the way a cheetah goes about hunting its prey, it's interesting and elaborate and magical.

And it can happen without any grand plan. Just people with various interests naturally understanding how they can collude with other sources of power and influence, and it evolves into what we have. So I don't even see it as conspiracy.

but the question is CAN they keep it like this forever

or is good/non-violence/cooperation/non-hierarchy a more powerful force?

My feeling is their brilliance is in how they juggle it and hold on, but that it's not a lasting thing.

Like they can play around with the parameters, but it's embedded into how everything works that it's too tedious and difficult to control other humans and long-term any scheme to do it falls apart.

In my first ever Steemit post I metaphored it to an orgasm, lol: https://steemit.com/anarchism/@full-measure/when-we-stop-being-violent-the-illuminati-will-jizz

I feel like there can quickly be a tipping point. As resources keep getting cheaper and more abundant, there's less to fight over and less people who feel dependent on the current systems.

like the way a cheetah goes about hunting its prey, it's interesting and elaborate and magical.

exactly.

So I don't even see it as conspiracy.

Again, true.

but the question is CAN they keep it like this forever?

Right. And obviously nothing lasts forever, so inevitably they're going to have to let up sometimes; but I'm thinkng it's going to be a very long time indeed.

As resources keep getting cheaper and more abundant, there's less to fight over and less people who feel dependent on the current systems.

but are they really? I feel like its one of their most fundamental strategy to make sure this never really happens.

but are they really? I feel like its one of their most fundamental strategy to make sure this never really happens.

probably, but it's like a rising tide.. like playing wack-a-mole but it keeps getting faster and faster.

like first we have an axel and a pulley and a wheel and the basic gadgets, and as technology gets better (plus we get more civilized and smarter), things keep getting cheaper and more abundant. The natural growth pattern, I think, is like exponential growth. Countering that, they interfere in the economy to slow things down, and thru taxes and inflation and rules that favor large corporations and people who are close to power, they can consolidate as much as they can into as few hands as possible.

but I think it becomes an increasingly difficult game as time passes and technology keeps growing and we get better and better at making resources more cheaply.. eventually kinda close to free when you think of 3D printing and AI that could basically manage a garden for you and drones that would be able to deliver things at little cost.. like it keeps being harder and harder to hold the average person back

I think it's like.. the decentralized force is too strong lol.

they could do a lot of damage, but if it's nukes or something, then they might die too, and having a world of ruin to rule over isn't that appealing. And if it's smaller amount of damage, we keep going and repair. 😎🧐

Forgive my slow understanding on this one..

If hypothetically you were allowed to go live somewhere with friends and people who agree with you (free to settle unclaimed land, wouldn't have to pay for it). and could govern as you wish and be sure that you wouldn't be messed with in any way..

Would that be fine? Or would you still maybe be a victim of some type of injustice?

Where does the injustice come in?

Curious and wise. Not slow.

Where does the injustice come in?

Well what I think is that there couldn't possibly be any injustice..

Any time nobody is actively interfering with you in some way, to my mind there's no possibility that any injustice is occurring to you.

But then think of a lot of things people get upset about and consider to be injustices..

(I'm not sure how it is in your part of the world, but thinking about the US..)

Not having free health care and free college education is something that some people consider an injustice. Or even that some people have more money than others.

So think about anything that people would claim to be not fair or an injustice. The thought experiment is basically: If, hypothetically, the people who disagree with you had a force field around them and couldn't harm you or interfere with your life and behavior at all, does that more or less settle the issue?

In my book, ya. That's all I demand every time I consider something to be wrong or an injustice.

If someone would answer "no", that the injustice would still be there, then I'd say the "injustice", whether they realize it or not, is that they aren't able to use people how they want to.

So it's kind of a litmus test of whether a cause or an issue you have in mind is real or bs, I believe.

Okay....

I catch your drift

Not having free health care and free college education is something that some people consider an injustice. Or even that some people have more money than others.

We've got that kind of sentiment over here too

It's funny how people blame everyone but themselves for their misfortune

Ya, for sure. And another thing I wonder about is like.. it seems like a mis-use of their righteousness hehe

Like I imagine we all probably have some capacity or instinct for rallying against injustices.. if we were all focused on the things that really are injustices, the world could get so good so fast

Thanks for your question.

but who decides the things that REALLY are. Damn I love the existentialists!

there is only one important philosophical question, but I can't remember what it is!

Albert Camus. lol.

you're like next-level right now! I need to go get coffee and try to figure this out.

Am I an existentialist? I googled, and the beginning of the wiki page sounds pretty dope.

But I don't know if maybe I'd keep reading and it would be like oh THAT'S what they mean

haha...this guy puts it pretty succintly lol. >>>>

What I like most about it is it has its dark gloomy side for people like me 😣😣 and then its optimistic side which is exactly the way you expressed it up there haha

Nice. I like that the French guy with the funny eyes realized that if there's no answer, then no authority knows the answer either.

Ouch! The million dollar piano should never be interrupted!!
I was meant to see him in Vegas last year, had tickets and flight, he fell ill after South America, cancelled show........I'm still yet to see him :(

hahaaha ya, let the piano play!!!

that sucks, damn :( maybe one day, as long as Elton keeps rockin' it out

Perfect timing. I had someone tell me two days ago that "hard work is bullshit" and the landowners have me brainwashed. lmao obviously this person is a logician or a Canadian. He is Canadian. bahahahahaha.

hahah he's the brainwashed

it's fine to not want to work hard, but then you don't produce as much as lol, just can't have your cake and eat it too, can't lay on the beach and then for some reason you get to have the stuff that other people made. Not civil, not fair, not good economic outcomes. Takes being brainwashed to not get that lol.

p.s. the fork seems to drain my voting power for days so not upvoting yet but sup hodlr!
