I have been following Abby Martin, on and off, for a couple of years now.
She is a true investigative journalist.
I don't agree with all of her viewpoints, but I respect and admire the fact that she will get off her ass and visit places.
So, the interview on Jimmy Dore, Jimmy Dore is another person I find has intriguing viewpoints, he had Abby Martin on the show.
Some of the interview becomes a bit irrelevant to me, as it focuses on specific US issues, but the idea of Empire, is very interesting to me, as so, I would like to share it.
and here is a link to the EMPIRE FILES, the show that Abby Martin has been involved with.

she says in her interview with Jimmy Dore, that the show pays homage to Oliver Stone's series "Untold History of the USA on the history of the US.
This too, I also find compelling viewing, opening up the true motivations of the US".
For me, looking at small, localised issues, is just a symptom of alot of our problems. The viewpoints of participants, lobby groups, race based groups, terrorism, freedom fighters and so on, obviously must have some justification. Not always right or always sane, but they are based on a motivation of some kind.
So, I delved further back in history, particularly, on those groups that are still around from ancient times. Royal Families, Dynasties of Families, Countries etc, to look at why they are still in power. What actions did they do to participate in creating the current world that we live in.
Take a look at how the Church, made decrees to countries, as to which part of the world that they will own. Look at the history of Spain & Portugal, in their power struggle to dominate the shipping lanes and exploit the riches of foreign lands.
I am not ignoring the fact that there is historical ignorance, just that, to solve a problem, there could be centuries of behaviour behind it all.
I look at the negative relationships that I have, the reasons I justify why I think the way I do. Sometimes, it is easy to prove a right/wrong narrative, and other times, or it might just be difference in personality or background. Or even just an instant dislike. So, on the "now" it is also not so easy.
But I like to provoke my mind and challenge the status quo. I challenge anyone to look at the way they do things and say, "Why do I do it this way?"
To sidetrack a little, one of my manager's is just a smooth guy. He is able to ride through situations like he is coated in Teflon. Where, I would be up all night worrying about an issue, he just takes it all in his stride.
He asked me, "Why do you worry so much?"
I said, "I don't like to fail"
He said "Its not about passing or failing."
And right there, in that instant, I had to think, Why do I worry about failing?
Then I reflect on my schooling, how, when you did well, you got a sticker, a big tick, and teacher adulation. When you didn't do well, you were made to feel lesser. And because, I was an ok student, I could reach for that delicious, Scratch N Sniff sticker, whereas, those who couldn't, just focused on other endeavours. That realisation, to fear to fail, opened my eyes to other alternatives. To take a situation differently. To question the self.
Anyway, enjoy your day!
