My one golden nugget:

  • when in depression you don't think you see the world with a veil, might think that the truth lies. the existential questions are distracting from every day life
  • Depression takes so much of your time and energy that becomes exhausting.
  • Alternative treatment is viable in healing perception based illnesses.

My one golden nugget:
How to get an impact on your energy levels:

  • improving your biological rhytms: spend more time outdoors in order to get sunlight, get a vitamin D in the morning, play with the hours you go to sleep (you best perform at a certain interval from when you wake up)
  • incorrect breathing through the chest, we are not filling all the way through the lungs. we need co2 in order to expand o2 from hemoglobin. we need to breathing in steady calmly through to our stomach. breath more through your nose
  • get more exercise in order to increase the density in mitocondria,

steady, long runs for increasing the capacity
fast runs, workouts in order to increase the ability to use your capacity ;

  • supplement: omega3 reduces brain inflammation
  • control your emotions, negative emotions lead to lack of energy

My one golden nugget:
emotional memories are more vivid, but they can be highly inaccurate. the strength and power of the feeling remains in memory.

Optional Bonus:
Ido Portal is my go to guru for extreme body performance

while just researching and listening to some buddhist guru's helped me get a higher plan view over my feelings, mostly guided meditation is a great start when trying to get a hand over your inner self.

Reading Lists

There are books that I reread regularly, but at the moment I read new books in trying to identify the best books to reread while trying to push my learning boundries. So far I got to organise my future reading in 6 lists, main readings for each time of the day:

and 3 lists of books that look interesting but haven't got enough information for them:

For people who just wanted to know how to choose what to read by Tai Lopez' talked of principles.

Do you have a book or resource that would like to see what nuggets I can get out from for you ?

Sort Order:

Symptoms of depression or a depressive episode:

A long period of feeling worried or empty
Loss of interest in activities once enjoyed, including sex
Feeling tired or slowed down
Having problems concentrating, remembering and making decisions
Being restless or irritable
Chang in eating, sleeping or other habits
Thoughts of death or suicide, or attempting suicide.

I like the idea of golden nuggets. I am also affected by a lack of energy and depression is just looming on everyone.
I think that by doing what you like and trying to be your best you might get to be ahead of it always. Might even have an impact on someone.
I will follow your links, and try to read more, maybe find some nuggets of my own.

Thank you for taking the time to read & comment.
Of course winter is a big factor anti-energy.. have you considered this energy aspect for your Mars project ? :)

Looking forward to your golden nuggets :)

Can agree, if they sold exercise in tablet form you could gain all the benefits from, it would be the number 1 sold drug out there.

Nice insight.

I would dare to say there is a solution to this kind of problem that the world in general wants to tackle, Universal Basic Income might be one of the solutions (so that you have the time to go to gym)

Very true we take for granted keeping our body active. Our mind set is always to work or finish everything everyday as if we'll run out of time or there's no matter sacrificing our health.

Depression is a silent killer and most victims don't know it until it's too late.

That's why for everytime of loneliness or sadness let it out in any form it could be through writing, singing or even in exercises. Keeping it in eats up a persons system.

Talk to somebody you trust and won't judge you. You are never alone #suicideisneverachoice

Thank you for your insights @maddie30.
I hope it didn't escalate for you in something about extreme depression, hence your tag.
Mild depression is experienced my everyone, in particular in the winter, that was my focus for this article.
Extreme depression is not a subject I want around my research as I deal with it at work. If you are interested in the work of my colleagues and the beautiful stories they write in order to support life please take a look at Funeral Zone Blog or Stories.

I also respect a lot the works of Jordan Peterson in regards to controlling depression and how to deal with it in you or people around you.

I am thinking about getting his book 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos , it's on my classics list.

Interesting article to come across today
