I like the analogy with the falling chips. However, malicious downvotes are mostly a private conflict. I hope. If not, hopefully it doesn't hit too hard. Well in general these habits ease out by time.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
