This cute little chubby baby is me. Who would have thought I would grow up looking so black, big and beautiful?

You can describe me as the fat lady, but I prefer Chubby lady though, lol.

My weight gain started during my Junior Secondary School 3 holiday, those really long 3 months holiday was how my worst nightmare began. I resumed my Senior Secondary School 1 as the fat Tobore, my teachers and my classmates were shocked to see me during the first day of resumption, but because I was a bright student, I still had friends, lol. It was not an easy phase for me especially when it had to with clothing. I loved fashion even at that age but what to wear became the issue. I had outgrown all my clothing, so i struggle to still fit into the few left. Well, let me not bore you so much, lets take a jump to my University days, just before I got admission I lost some weight. Then came my post NYSC days when my weight worries began, 2013 to be precise.

Pictures of me in my gym centre and while exercising.

I was dating a guy who "loved me", so he claimed but was concerned about my weight. He would say he always pictures a slimmer version of me, if I could just loose some weight I would be so beautiful and more sexy. He gave me a target of loosing 10kg, he was my motivator. He went as far as registering me at a gym center in my estate, I had no job then so I would go to the gym in the morning and in the evening (no be small thing), but I would loose was just 2kg because I loved my meals and they were mostly carbohydrates and I did not stick completely top my diet plan given to me by my gym instructor (emmapassions), it was a challenge. After a year, my fiancee would say "babe if you can loose 10kg we will get married the next month", as a way to motivate me in my weight loss journey, but the highest I ever lost was 7kg at the time. Nevertheless, I was happy with the new me and my new look, all trimmed down and sexy, with my flat stomach and my curvy hips, plus I had more admirers too. Truth be told, the relationship did not lead to marriage, he is presently married with a son in the United States, Its a long story though, not one I would love to share, sad memories.

My dad always told me whenever he sees how hard I exercise at home and how serious I was taking the weight loss challenge, he would say "my daughter, I am your father and I love you just the way you are, in our family you have aunts who are also big in stature, its hereditary, why don't you learn to love yourself the way you are or did Mudiaga (My Fiancee) say if you don't loose weight he will not marry you?, any man who loves you will love you the way you are". Wise words you would say.

Like I said I love fashion, so despite me being a plus size, I dress to slay, I always love to look good, like the saying goes, "looking good is good business". The Agbani's (slim people) would even be jealous of me and how my clothes would fit me so well because I had all eyes on me in addition to my lovely curves. You can confirm from the pictures below taken May 2nd, 2015.

Well 2015 went by quickly. Then came 2016, the year I met my bae. We dated for just 3 months, we only had discussions on phone because he lives in Lagos State and I live in Delta State and we were both working at the time. To show you how serious he was about us getting married, he came from Lagos to see my dad in Warri, the introduction date was fixed for both families to meet and choose a date for the marriage ceremony. We got married September 2016.
So plus my weight minus my weight, my bae loved me for me, the real me, the fat me.

Here are a few of my 2016 pictures I sent to him while we were phone dating that helped him made his decision quickly, lol. I had a job at the time so the pictures were taken at my office residence.

Conclusively, I have gained some weight since we got married, I am still struggling to shed some so I can always look beautiful. Whether you are fat or slim, love yourself, let people love you for who you are and the way you look.

I can proudly say I am big, I am bold and I am beautiful.
