This is a photo I took in 1989 while on a semester abroad. This is somewhere in Tibet; I do not recall specifically in Tibet where this was. This magnificent statue of Buddha is holding a picture of a young Dalai Lama. This particular Dalai Lama (the 14th) is still alive and well and resides in Northern India.
