[TIC-80 Games] Ant Racer

Ant Racer is a simple racing game where you have to reach as much distance as possible without before running out of fuel. The game is created by Peter Szabo.

In this game, your car runs at a constant speed. You use Up & Down buttons to collect fuel and avoid other cars to try to cross more distance. You can also collect energy drinks to gain more lives (if you hit a Car you lose a life.) The main gameplay's loop is getting better and reaching a new High Score.

Personally, I'm confused on why its called Ant Racer. But I can't come up with a better unique name so I won't judge. I found it interesting that the game's logo has an Ant in it.

There isn't much to this game than trying to beat your High Score. The main menu shows more Cars but I don't know if they can be acquired. Finally, sometimes the fuel is placed right before Cars, this is apparently by design. The developer explained "the trick is to use your extra lives to earn that fuel" so you can last longer.

Finally, the developer posted the Ant Racer's source code on Github (link below.) The code can still be viewed/edited in TIC-80's editor as most of the games made for the fantasy console. But I thought it is worth to mention.
